Paul, called to be an apostle of JesusChristthrough the will of God, andSosthenes our brother,

Unto the church of GodwhichisatCorinth, to them that are sanctifiedinChristJesus, called to be saints, withall that ineveryplace call upon the name of JesusChristourLord, boththeirsandours:
Grace be unto you, andpeace, fromGodourFather, andfrom the LordJesusChrist.

I thankmyGodalwaysonyourbehalf, for the grace of Godwhich is givenyoubyJesusChrist;
Thatin every thing ye are enrichedbyhim, inallutterance, andinallknowledge;

Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmedinyou:

So thatye come behindinnogift; waiting for the coming of ourLordJesusChrist:
Whoshallalsoconfirmyouunto the end, that ye may be blamelessin the day of ourLordJesusChrist.
God is faithful, bywhom ye were calledunto the fellowship of hisSonJesusChristourLord.
Now I beseechyou, brethren, by the name of ourLordJesusChrist, thatyeallspeak the samething, andthat there benodivisionsamongyou; butthatyebe perfectly joined togetherin the samemindandin the samejudgment.
For it hath been declared unto meofyou, mybrethren, by them which areof the houseofChloe, that there arecontentionsamongyou.
NowthisIsay, that every one of yousaith, Iam of Paul; andI of Apollos; andI of Cephas; andI of Christ.
IsChristdivided?wasPaulcrucifiedforyou?or were ye baptizedin the name of Paul?

I thankGodthat I baptizednone of you, butCrispusandGaius;
Lestany should saythat I had baptizedin mine ownname.
And I baptizedalso the household of Stephanas: besides, I knownot whether I baptizedanyother.
ForChristsentmenot to baptize, but to preach the gospel: notwithwisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
For the preaching of the crossis to them that perishfoolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
Where is the wise?where is the scribe?where is the disputer of thisworld?hathnotGod made foolish the wisdom of thisworld?
Forafter that in the wisdom of God the worldbywisdomknewnotGod, it pleasedGodby the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
For the Jewsrequire a sign, and the Greeksseek after wisdom:
ButwepreachChristcrucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeksfoolishness;
But unto themwhich are called, bothJewsandGreeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
Because the foolishness of Godis wiser thanmen; and the weakness of Godis stronger thanmen.
For ye seeyourcalling, brethren, how thatnotmany wise menafter the flesh, notmanymighty, notmanynoble, are called:
ButGod hath chosen the foolish things of the worldtoconfound the wise; andGod hath chosen the weak things of the worldtoconfound the things which are mighty;
And base things of the world, andthingswhicharedespised, hathGodchosen, yea, andthingswhicharenot, to bring tonoughtthings that are:
Thatnoflesh should glory in his presence.
ButofhimareyeinChristJesus, whoofGod is made unto uswisdom, andrighteousness, andsanctification, andredemption:
That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him gloryin the Lord.
