Moreover, brethren, I wouldnotthatye should be ignorant, how thatallourfatherswereunder the cloud, andallpassedthrough the sea;
AndwereallbaptizeduntoMosesin the cloudandin the sea;
Anddidalleat the samespiritualmeat;
Anddidalldrink the samespiritualdrink: for they drankof that spiritualRock that followed them: and that RockwasChrist.
Butwithmany of themGodwasnot well pleased: for they were overthrownin the wilderness.
Now these thingswereourexamples, to the intentweshouldnot lust after evilthings, as they alsolusted.
Neither be yeidolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eatanddrink, and rose up to play.
Neither let us commit fornication, assome of themcommitted, andfellinonedaythreeandtwentythousand.
Neither let us temptChrist, assomeofthemalsotempted, and were destroyedofserpents.
Neither murmur ye, assomeofthemalsomurmured, and were destroyedof the destroyer.
Nowall these thingshappened unto themforensamples: and they are writtenforouradmonition, uponwhom the ends of the world are come.
Whereforelet him that thinketh he standeth take heedlest he fall.

There hathnotemptationtakenyoubut such as is common to man: butGod is faithful, whowillnotsufferyou to be temptedabovethatye are able; butwillwith the temptationalsomake a way to escape, thatye may be able to bear it.
Wherefore, my dearly beloved, fleefromidolatry.

I speakas to wise men; judgeyewhat I say.

The cup of blessingwhich we bless, is itnot the communion of the blood of Christ? The breadwhich we break, is itnot the communion of the body of Christ?
Forwe being manyareonebread, and onebody: forweareallpartakersof that onebread.
BeholdIsraelafter the flesh: arenotthey which eat of the sacrificespartakers of the altar?
What say Ithen?that the idolis any thing, orthat which is offered in sacrifice to idolsis any thing?
But I say, that the things which the Gentilessacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, andnot to God: and I wouldnotthatye should havefellowship with devils.

Ye cannotdrink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

Do weprovoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger thanhe?

All thingsarelawful for me, but all thingsarenotexpedient: all thingsarelawful for me, but all thingsedifynot.
Let no manseek his own, but every man another's wealth.
Whatsoever is soldin the shambles, that eat, askingnoquestionforconsciencesake:
For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulnessthereof.

If any of them that believe notbidyou to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set beforeyou, eat, askingnoquestionforconsciencesake.
Butif any mansay unto you, Thisis offered in sacrifice unto idols, eatnotfor his sake that shewed it, andfor conscience sake: for the earthis the Lord's, and the fulnessthereof:
Conscience, I say, not thine own, butof the other: forwhyismylibertyjudgedofanother man's conscience?
ForifI by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken offorthatforwhichI give thanks?
Whethertherefore ye eat, ordrink, orwhatsoever ye do, doallto the glory of God.
Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

Even asIpleaseall men in all things, notseeking mine ownprofit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.
