1Now the Spiritspeakethexpressly, thatin the lattertimessome shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducingspirits, anddoctrines of devils;

Speaking liesinhypocrisy; havingtheirconscience seared with a hot iron;
3Forbiddingtomarry, and commanding to abstain frommeats, whichGod hath createdto be receivedwiththanksgiving of them whichbelieveandknow the truth.
4Foreverycreature of God is good, andnothing to be refused, if it be receivedwiththanksgiving:
5For it is sanctifiedby the word of Godandprayer.

If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a goodminister of JesusChrist, nourished up in the words of faithand of gooddoctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
7Butrefuseprofaneand old wives' fables, andexercisethyself rather untogodliness.
8Forbodilyexerciseprofitethlittle: butgodlinessis profitable unto all things, havingpromise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

This is a faithfulsayingandworthy of allacceptation.
10Forthereforewebothlabourand suffer reproach, becausewetrustin the livingGod, whois the Saviour of allmen, specially of those that believe.

These thingscommandandteach.
12Let no mandespisethyyouth; but be thou an example of the believers, inword, inconversation, incharity, inspirit, infaith, inpurity.
13Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
14Neglectnot the gift that is inthee, which was giventheebyprophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly tothem; thatthyprofitingmayappeartoall.

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doingthis thou shaltbothsavethyself, andthem that hearthee.
