I told youbefore, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absentnow I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to allother, that, if I comeagain, I willnotspare:
3Since ye seek a proof of Christspeakinginme, whichtoyou-wardisnotweak, butismightyinyou.
4Forthough he was crucifiedthroughweakness, yet he livethby the power of God. Forwealso are weakinhim, butwe shall livewithhimby the power of Godtowardyou.
5Examineyourselves, whetheryebein the faith; prove your own selves. Know yenot your own selves, how thatJesusChristisinyou, exceptyebereprobates?
6But I trustthat ye shall knowthatwearenotreprobates.
7Now I praytoGodthatyedonoevil; notthatwe should appearapproved, butthatye should dothat which is honest, thoughwebeasreprobates.
8For we can donothingagainst the truth, butfor the truth.
9Forweareglad, whenweareweak, andyearestrong: andthisalsowewish, even yourperfection.
10Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should usesharpness, accordingto the powerwhich the Lord hath givenmetoedification, andnottodestruction.
11Finally, brethren, farewell. Beperfect, be of good comfort, be of onemind, live in peace; and the God of loveandpeace shall bewithyou.
12Greet one anotherwith an holykiss.
