Havingthereforethesepromises, dearly beloved, let us cleanseourselvesfromallfilthiness of the fleshandspirit, perfectingholinessin the fear of God.
Receiveus; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man.

I speaknot this tocondemn you: for I have said before, that ye areinourheartstodieand live with you.
Great is my boldness ofspeechtowardyou, great is mygloryingofyou: I am filled with comfort, I am exceedingjoyfulinallourtribulation.
For, when we were comeintoMacedonia, ourfleshhadnorest, butwe were troubledon every side; without were fightings, within were fears.
NeverthelessGod, that comforteth those that are cast down, comfortedusby the coming of Titus;
Andnotbyhiscomingonly, butby the consolationwherewith he was comfortedinyou, when he toldusyour earnest desire, yourmourning, your fervent mindtowardme; so that Irejoiced the more.
Forthough I madeyousorrywith a letter, I donotrepent, though I did repent: for I perceivethat the sameepistle hath madeyousorry, though it were butfor a season.
Now I rejoice, notthat ye were made sorry, butthat ye sorrowedtorepentance: for ye were made sorryafter a godly manner, that ye might receive damagebyusinnothing.
Forgodlysorrowworkethrepentancetosalvation not to be repented of: but the sorrowof the worldworkethdeath.
Forbeholdthis selfsame thing, that ye sorrowedafter a godly sort, whatcarefulness it wroughtinyou, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, whatindignation, yea, whatfear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, whatzeal, yea, whatrevenge! Inall things ye have approvedyourselves to beclearinthismatter.
Wherefore, though I wroteuntoyou, I did it notfor his causethat had done the wrong, norfor his causethat suffered wrong, butthatourcareforyou in the sight of God might appearuntoyou.
Thereforewe were comfortedinyourcomfort: yea, andexceedingly the more joyed wefor the joy of Titus, becausehisspirit was refreshedbyyouall.
For if I have boasted any thing to himofyou, I amnotashamed; butas we spake all things to youintruth, evensoourboasting, which I made beforeTitus, is found a truth.
Andhis inward affectionis more abundanttowardyou, whilst he remembereth the obedience of youall, howwithfearandtrembling ye receivedhim.

I rejoice therefore that I have confidenceinyouinall things.
