1Now we beseechyou, brethren, by the coming of ourLordJesusChrist, andbyour gathering togetheruntohim,
2Thatyebenotsoonshakeninmind, orbetroubled, neitherbyspirit, norbyword, norbyletterasfromus, asthat the day of Christ is at hand.
3Letnomandeceiveyoubyanymeans: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling awayfirst, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4WhoopposethandexaltethhimselfaboveallthatiscalledGod, orthatisworshipped; sothatheasGodsittethin the temple of God, shewinghimselfthatheisGod.

Remember yenot, that, when I wasyetwithyou, I toldyou these things?
6Andnow ye know what withholdeththathe might be revealedinhistime.
7For the mysteryofiniquitydothalreadywork: only he who nowletteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8Andthenshall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lordshallconsume with the spirit of hismouth, andshalldestroy with the brightness of hiscoming:

Even him, whosecomingisafter the working of Satanwithallpowerandsignsandlyingwonders,
10Andwithalldeceivableness of unrighteousnessin them thatperish; becausetheyreceivednot the love of the truth, thatthey might be saved.
11And for thiscauseGod shall sendthemstrongdelusion, thatthey should believe a lie:
12That they all might be damnedwhobelievednot the truth, but had pleasureinunrighteousness.
13Butwe are boundto give thanksalwaytoGodforyou, brethrenbelovedof the Lord, becauseGodhathfrom the beginningchosenyoutosalvationthroughsanctificationof the Spiritandbeliefof the truth:
14Whereunto he calledyoubyourgospel, to the obtaining of the glory of ourLordJesusChrist.
15Therefore, brethren, stand fast, andhold the traditionswhich ye have been taught, whetherbyword, orourepistle.
16NowourLordJesusChristhimself, andGod, evenourFather, which hath lovedus, and hath givenuseverlastingconsolationandgoodhopethroughgrace,
