Because thatforhis name's sake they went forth, takingnothingof the Gentiles.
8Wethereforeought to receivesuch, thatwe might befellowhelpers to the truth.

I wrote unto the church: butDiotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receivethusnot.
10Wherefore, if I come, I will rememberhisdeedswhich he doeth, prating againstus with maliciouswords: andnotcontenttherewith, neitherdoth he himselfreceive the brethren, andforbiddeth them that would, andcasteth them out of the church.
11Beloved, follownot that which isevil, but that which isgood. He that doeth goodisofGod: but he that doeth evilhathnotseenGod.
12Demetrius hath good reportofall men, andof the truthitself: yea, andwe also bear record; and ye knowthatourrecordistrue.

I had many things to write, but I willnotwithinkandpenwrite unto thee:
