The first day of the weekcomethMaryMagdaleneearly, when it wasyetdark, unto the sepulchre, andseeth the stone taken awayfrom the sepulchre.
2Then she runneth, andcomethtoSimonPeter, andto the otherdisciple, whomJesusloved, andsaith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we knownotwhere they have laidhim.
3Petertherefore went forth, and that otherdisciple, andcameto the sepulchre.
4So they ranbothtogether: and the otherdisciple did outrunPeter, andcamefirstto the sepulchre.
5Andhe stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clotheslying; yet went henotin.
6ThencomethSimonPeterfollowinghim, andwentinto the sepulchre, andseeth the linen clotheslie,
7And the napkin, thatwasabouthishead, notlyingwith the linen clothes, but wrapped togetherin a place by itself.
8Then went inalso that otherdisciple, whichcamefirstto the sepulchre, and he saw, andbelieved.
9For as yet they knewnot the scripture, thathemust rise againfrom the dead.
10Then the disciples went awayagainunto their own home.
11ButMarystoodwithoutat the sepulchreweeping: andas she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,
12Andseethtwoangelsinwhitesitting, the oneat the head, and the otherat the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
13Andtheysay unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Becausethey have taken awaymyLord, and I knownotwherethey have laidhim.
14And when she hadthussaid, she turnedherselfback, andsawJesusstanding, andknewnotthat it wasJesus.
15Jesussaith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou?whom seekest thou?She, supposinghim to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, ifthou have bornehimhence, tellmewherethou hast laidhim, and I will takehimaway.
16Jesussaith unto her, Mary. Sheturned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
17Jesussaithuntoher, Touchmenot; for I amnotyetascendedtomyFather: butgotomybrethren, andsayuntothem, I ascenduntomyFather, andyourFather; andtomyGod, andyourGod.
18MaryMagdalenecameandtold the disciplesthat she had seen the Lord, andthat he had spoken these things unto her.
19Then the sameday at evening, being the firstday of the week, when the doorswereshutwhere the discipleswereassembledforfear of the Jews, cameJesusandstoodin the midst, andsaith unto them, Peace be unto you.
20And when he hadsosaid, he shewed unto themhishandsandhisside. Thenwere the disciplesglad, when they saw the Lord.
21ThensaidJesus to themagain, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sentme, even sosendIyou.
22And when he had saidthis, he breathed onthem, andsaith unto them, Receive ye the HolyGhost:
23Whosesoeversins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whosesoeversins ye retain, they are retained.
24ButThomas, oneof the twelve, calledDidymus, wasnotwiththemwhenJesuscame.

The otherdisciplesthereforesaid unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall seeinhishands the print of the nails, andputmyfingerinto the print of the nails, andthrustmyhandintohisside, I willnotbelieve.
26Andaftereightdaysagainhisdiscipleswerewithin, andThomaswiththem: then cameJesus, the doors being shut, andstoodin the midst, andsaid, Peace be unto you.
27Then saith he to Thomas, Reachhitherthyfinger, andbeholdmyhands; andreachhitherthyhand, andthrust it intomyside: andbenotfaithless, butbelieving.
