In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitudeofpeople, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to sayuntohisdisciples first ofall, Bewareyeof the leavenof the Pharisees, whichishypocrisy.
For there isnothingcovered, thatshallnot be revealed; neitherhid, thatshallnot be known.
Thereforewhatsoever ye have spokenindarkness shall be heardin the light; and that which ye have spokenin the earinclosets shall be proclaimedupon the housetops.
And I say unto youmyfriends, Benotafraid of themthatkill the body, andafterthathavenomorethat they can do.
But I will forewarnyouwhom ye shall fear: Fearhim, which after he hathkilledhathpower to castintohell; yea, I say unto you, Fearhim.
Arenotfivesparrowssold for twofarthings, andnotoneofthemisforgottenbeforeGod?
But even the veryhairs of yourheadareallnumbered. Fearnottherefore: ye are of more value than manysparrows.
Also I say unto you, Whosoevershallconfessmebeforemen, himshall the Son of manalsoconfessbefore the angels of God:
But he that deniethmebeforemen shall be deniedbefore the angels of God.
Andwhosoevershallspeak a wordagainst the Son of man, it shall be forgivenhim: but unto him that blasphemethagainst the HolyGhost it shallnot be forgiven.
Andwhen they bringyouunto the synagogues, anduntomagistrates, andpowers, take ye nothoughthoworwhatthing ye shall answer, orwhat ye shall say:
For the HolyGhost shall teachyouin the samehourwhat ye ought to say.
Andoneof the companysaid unto him, Master, speak to mybrother, that he divide the inheritancewithme.
And he said unto him, Man, whomademe a judgeor a divideroveryou?
Andhesaiduntothem, Take heed, andbewareofcovetousness: for a man's lifeconsistethnotin the abundanceof the things which hepossesseth.
And he spake a parableuntothem, saying, The ground of a certainrichman brought forth plentifully:
And he thoughtwithinhimself, saying, What shall I do, because I haveno room where to bestowmyfruits?
And he said, This will I do: I will pull downmybarns, andbuildgreater; andthere will I bestowallmyfruitsandmygoods.
And I will say to mysoul, Soul, thou hastmuchgoods laid upformanyyears; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
ButGodsaid unto him, Thou fool, thisnightthysoul shall berequiredofthee: thenwhose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
Sois he that layeth up treasure for himself, andisnotrichtowardGod.
And he saiduntohisdisciples, Therefore I sayuntoyou, Takenothought for yourlife, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.

The lifeismore than meat, and the bodyismore than raiment.
Consider the ravens: for they neithersownorreap; whichneitherhavestorehousenorbarn; andGodfeedeththem: how muchmoreareye better than the fowls?
Andwhichofyou with taking thoughtcanaddtohisstatureonecubit?
If ye thenbenot able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thoughtfor the rest?
Consider the lilieshow they grow: they toilnot, they spinnot; and yet I say unto you, that Solomoninallhisglorywasnotarrayedlikeone of these.
IfthenGodsoclothe the grass, which is to dayin the field, and to morrow is castinto the oven; how muchmore will he clotheyou, O ye of little faith?
Andseeknotyewhatye shall eat, orwhatye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
Forall these thingsdo the nations of the world seek after: andyourFatherknoweththat ye have need of these things.

But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; andall these things shall be added unto you.
Fearnot, littleflock; for it isyour Father's good pleasure to giveyou the kingdom.
Sell that yehave, andgivealms; provideyourselvesbags which waxnotold, a treasurein the heavens that faileth not, wherenothiefapproacheth, neithermothcorrupteth.
And ye yourselveslike unto menthatwait for theirlord, when he will returnfrom the wedding; thatwhen he comethandknocketh, they may open unto himimmediately.
Blessed are thoseservants, whom the lord when he cometh shall findwatching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, andmakethem to sit down to meat, and will come forthandservethem.
Andif he shall comein the secondwatch, orcomein the thirdwatch, andfind them so, blessedarethoseservants.
Andthisknow, thatif the goodman of the house had knownwhathour the thief would come, he would have watched, andnot have sufferedhishouse to be broken through.
Beyethereforereadyalso: for the Son of mancometh at an hour when yethinknot.
And the Lordsaid, Whothenis that faithfulandwisesteward, whomhislord shall make ruleroverhishousehold, to give them their portion of meatin due season?
Blessed is thatservant, whomhislord when he cometh shall findsodoing.

Of a truth I say unto you, thathe will make himruleroverallthathehath.

But andifthatservantsayinhisheart, Mylorddelayethhiscoming; and shall begin to beat the menservantsandmaidens, and to eatanddrink, and to be drunken;

The lord of thatservant will comein a daywhen he lookethnotforhim, andat an hourwhen he isnotaware, and will cuthiminsunder, and will appointhimhisportionwith the unbelievers.
Andthatservant, whichknewhis lord's will, andpreparednot himself, neitherdidaccording to hiswill, shall be beaten with many stripes.
But he that knewnot, and did commit things worthyofstripes, shall be beaten with fewstripes. For unto whomsoevermuch is given, ofhim shall be muchrequired: and to whom men have committedmuch, ofhim they will ask the more.
I am come to sendfireon the earth; andwhat will I, if it bealreadykindled?
But I have a baptism to be baptized with; andhow am I straitenedtill it be accomplished!

Suppose yethat I am come to givepeaceonearth? I tellyou, Nay; butratherdivision:
Forfromhenceforth there shall befiveinonehousedivided, threeagainsttwo, andtwoagainstthree.

The father shall be dividedagainst the son, and the sonagainst the father; the motheragainst the daughter, and the daughteragainst the mother; the mother in lawagainstherdaughter in law, and the daughter in lawagainsthermother in law.
And he saidalso to the people, When ye see a cloudrise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; andso it is.
Andwhen ye see the south windblow, ye say, There will beheat; and it cometh to pass.

Ye hypocrites, ye candiscern the face of the skyand of the earth; but how is it that ye do notdiscernthistime?
Yea, and whyevenofyourselves judge yenot what is right?
When thou goestwiththineadversaryto the magistrate, as thou art in the way, givediligence that thou mayest be deliveredfromhim; lest he haletheeto the judge, and the judgedelivertheeto the officer, and the officercasttheeintoprison.

I tellthee, thou shaltnotdepartthence, till thou hast paid the very lastmite.
