1And he saidalsountohisdisciples, There was a certainrichman, whichhad a steward; and the samewasaccuseduntohimthat he hadwastedhisgoods.
2And he calledhim, andsaid unto him, How is it that I hearthisofthee?give an accountofthystewardship; for thou mayest benolongersteward.
3Then the stewardsaidwithinhimself, What shall I do?formylord taketh awayfromme the stewardship: I cannotdig; to beg I am ashamed.

I am resolvedwhat to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receivemeintotheirhouses.
5So he calledeveryone of hislord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto mylord?
6And he said, An hundredmeasures of oil. And he said unto him, Takethybill, and sit downquickly, andwritefifty.
7Thensaidhe to another, And how muchowestthou?Andhesaid, An hundredmeasures of wheat. Andhesaid unto him, Takethybill, andwritefourscore.
8And the lordcommended the unjuststeward, because he had donewisely: for the children of thisworldareintheirgenerationwiserthan the children of light.

And Isay unto you, Make to yourselvesfriendsof the mammonofunrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receiveyouintoeverlastinghabitations.

He that isfaithfulin that which isleastisfaithfulalsoinmuch: and he that isunjustin the leastisunjustalsoinmuch.
11Iftherefore ye havenotbeenfaithfulin the unrighteousmammon, who will commit to yourtrust the true riches?
12Andif ye havenotbeenfaithfulin that which is another man's, who shall giveyou that which is your own?
13Noservantcanservetwomasters: foreither he will hate the one, andlove the other; or else he will hold to the one, anddespise the other. Ye cannotserveGodandmammon.
14And the Phariseesalso, who werecovetous, heardall these things: and they deridedhim.
15And he said unto them, Yeare they which justifyyourselvesbeforemen; butGodknowethyourhearts: for that which is highly esteemedamongmenisabomination in the sight of God.

The lawand the prophets were untilJohn: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every manpressethintoit.
17And it iseasier for heavenandearth to pass, thanonetittle of the law to fail.
18Whosoever putteth awayhiswife, andmarriethanother, committeth adultery: andwhosoevermarrieth her that is put awayfrom her husband committeth adultery.

There was a certainrichman, whichwasclothed in purpleand fine linen, andfaredsumptuouslyeveryday:
20And there was a certainbeggarnamedLazarus, whichwaslaidathisgate, full of sores,
21Anddesiring to be fedwith the crumbswhichfellfrom the rich man's table: moreover the dogscameandlickedhissores.
22And it came to pass, that the beggardied, and was carriedby the angelsinto Abraham's bosom: the rich manalsodied, and was buried;
23Andinhell he lift uphiseyes, beingintorments, andseethAbrahamafaroff, andLazarusinhisbosom.
24And he criedandsaid, FatherAbraham, have mercy on me, andsendLazarus, that he may dip the tip of hisfingerinwater, andcoolmytongue; for I am tormentedinthisflame.
25ButAbrahamsaid, Son, rememberthatthouinthylifetimereceivedstthy good things, andlikewiseLazarus evil things: butnow he is comforted, andthou art tormented.
26Andbesideallthis, betweenusandyou there is a greatgulffixed: so that they which wouldpass from hencetoyoucannot; neither can they passtous, thatwould come from thence.
27Then he said, I praytheetherefore, father, that thou wouldest sendhimtomyfather's house:
28For I havefivebrethren; that he may testify unto them, lesttheyalsocomeintothisplace of torment.
29Abrahamsaith unto him, They haveMosesand the prophets; let themhearthem.
30And he said, Nay, fatherAbraham: butifonewentuntothemfrom the dead, they will repent.
31And he said unto him, If they hearnotMosesand the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, thoughonerosefrom the dead.
