And they entered in, andfoundnot the body of the LordJesus.
And it came to pass, asthey were much perplexedthereabout, behold, twomen stood bytheminshininggarments:
Andastheywereafraid, and bowed down their facesto the earth, theysaiduntothem, Why seek ye the livingamong the dead?

He isnothere, butisrisen: rememberhow he spake unto you when he wasyetinGalilee,
Saying, The Son of manmust be deliveredinto the hands of sinfulmen, and be crucified, and the thirdday rise again.
And they rememberedhiswords,
Andreturnedfrom the sepulchre, andtoldall these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.

It wasMaryMagdalene, andJoanna, andMary the mother of James, andother women that were withthem, whichtold these thingsunto the apostles.

Andtheytalkedtogetherofall these things which had happened.
And it came to pass, that, whiletheycommuned together andreasoned, Jesushimself drew near, and went withthem.
Buttheireyes were holden that they shouldnotknowhim.
And he saiduntothem, What manner of communicationsarethesethat ye have one toanother, as ye walk, andaresad?
And the one of them, whosename was Cleopas, answeringsaiduntohim, Art thouonly a strangerinJerusalem, andhastnotknown the things which are come to passthereinthesedays?
And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, ConcerningJesus of Nazareth, whichwas a prophetmightyindeedandwordbeforeGodandall the people:

Yea, and certainwomenalsoof our companymadeusastonished, which wereearlyat the sepulchre;
And when they foundnothisbody, they came, saying, that they hadalsoseen a vision of angels, whichsaid that he was alive.
And certain of them which were withuswentto the sepulchre, andfound it evensoas the women had said: buthim they sawnot.
Thenhesaiduntothem, Ofools, andslow of heart to believeallthat the prophets have spoken:
OughtnotChrist to have suffered these things, and to enterintohisglory?
AndbeginningatMosesandall the prophets, he expounded unto theminall the scriptures the things concerninghimself.
And they drew nighunto the village, whither they went: andhe made as thoughhe would have gonefurther.
But they constrainedhim, saying, Abidewithus: for it istowardevening, and the dayis far spent. And he went in to tarrywiththem.
And it came to pass, ashe sat at meatwiththem, hetookbread, andblessed it, andbrake, andgave to them.
Andtheireyes were opened, and they knewhim; andhevanished out oftheirsight.

And they rose up the samehour, andreturnedtoJerusalem, andfound the eleven gathered together, andthem that were withthem,

Andtheytold what things were done in the way, andhow he was known of theminbreaking of bread.
And as theythusspake, Jesushimselfstoodin the midst of them, andsaith unto them, Peace be unto you.
But they were terrifiedandaffrighted, andsupposed that they had seen a spirit.
And he said unto them, Why are yetroubled?andwhy do thoughtsariseinyourhearts?
Beholdmyhandsandmyfeet, that it isImyself: handleme, andsee; for a spirithathnotfleshandbones, as ye seemehave.
And when he had thusspoken, he shewedthem his handsand his feet.

Then opened hetheirunderstanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
Andsaid unto them, Thus it is written, andthus it behovedChrist to suffer, and to risefrom the dead the thirdday:
And that repentanceandremission of sins should be preachedinhisnameamongallnations, beginningatJerusalem.
Andyearewitnesses of these things.
And, behold, Isend the promise of myFatheruponyou: buttarryyein the city of Jerusalem, untilye be endued with powerfrom on high.
And he ledthemoutas far astoBethany, and he lifted uphishands, andblessedthem.
