1And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there besome of themthatstandhere, whichshallnottaste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of Godcomewithpower.
2AndaftersixdaysJesustaketh with him Peter, andJames, andJohn, andleadeththemupinto an highmountainapart by themselves: and he was transfiguredbeforethem.
3Andhisraimentbecameshining, exceedingwhiteassnow; so asnofulleronearthcanwhite them.
4And there appeared unto themEliaswithMoses: and they weretalkingwithJesus.
5AndPeteransweredandsaid to Jesus, Master, it isgood for us to behere: and let usmakethreetabernacles; one for thee, andone for Moses, andone for Elias.
6For he wistnotwhat to say; for they were soreafraid.
7And there was a cloud that overshadowedthem: and a voicecame out of the cloud, saying, ThisismybelovedSon: hearhim.
8Andsuddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, saveJesusonlywiththemselves.
9And as they came downfrom the mountain, he chargedthemthatthey should tell no man what thingsthey had seen, till the Son of man were risenfrom the dead.
10And they kept that sayingwiththemselves, questioning one withanotherwhat the risingfrom the dead should mean.
11And they askedhim, saying, Whysay the scribesthatEliasmustfirstcome?
12And he answeredandtoldthem, Eliasverilycomethfirst, andrestoreth all things; andhow it is writtenof the Sonofman, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.
13But I say unto you, ThatEliasisindeedcome, and they have done unto himwhatsoever they listed, as it iswrittenofhim.
14And when he cameto his disciples, he saw a greatmultitudeaboutthem, and the scribesquestioning with them.
15Andstraightwayall the people, when they beheldhim, were greatly amazed, and running tohimsalutedhim.
16And he asked the scribes, What question yewiththem?
17Andoneof the multitudeansweredandsaid, Master, I have broughtuntotheemyson, which hath a dumbspirit;
18Andwheresoever he takethhim, he tearethhim: and he foameth, andgnasheth with histeeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thydisciplesthat they should casthimout; and they couldnot.

He answerethhim, andsaith, Ofaithlessgeneration, how long shall I bewithyou? how long shall I sufferyou?bringhimuntome.
20And they broughthimuntohim: and when he sawhim, straightway the spirittarehim; and he fellon the ground, andwallowedfoaming.
21And he askedhisfather, How long is itagosincethiscame unto him?And he said, Of a child.
22Andofttimes it hath casthiminto the fire, andinto the waters, todestroyhim: butif thou canst do any thing, have compassiononus, andhelpus.
23Jesussaid unto him, If thou canstbelieve, all things are possible to him that believeth.
24Andstraightway the father of the child cried out, andsaidwithtears, Lord, I believe; help thoumineunbelief.
25WhenJesussawthat the people came running together, he rebuked the foulspirit, saying unto him, Thou dumbanddeafspirit, Ichargethee, come out ofhim, andenter no moreintohim.
26And the spirit cried, andrenthimsore, and came out of him: and he wasas one dead; insomuchthatmanysaid, He is dead.
27ButJesustookhim by the hand, andliftedhimup; and he arose.
28And when he was comeinto the house, hisdisciplesaskedhimprivately, Whycouldnotwecasthimout?
29And he said unto them, Thiskindcan come forthbynothing, butbyprayerandfasting.
30And they departedthence, andpassedthroughGalilee; and he wouldnotthat any man should know it.
31For he taughthisdisciples, andsaid unto them, The Son of man is deliveredinto the hands of men, and they shall killhim; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the thirdday.
32But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to askhim.
33And he cametoCapernaum: andbeingin the house he askedthem, What was it that ye disputedamongyourselvesby the way?
34But they held their peace: forby the way they had disputedamongthemselves, who should be the greatest.
35And he sat down, andcalled the twelve, andsaith unto them, If any mandesire to befirst, the same shall belast of all, andservant of all.
36And he took a child, andsethimin the midst of them: and when he had takenhimin his arms, he said unto them,
37Whosoever shall receiveone of suchchildreninmyname, receivethme: andwhosoever shall receiveme, receivethnotme, but him that sentme.
38AndJohnansweredhim, saying, Master, we sawone casting outdevils in thyname, and he followethnotus: and we forbadhim, because he followethnotus.
39ButJesussaid, Forbidhimnot: for there is no manwhich shall do a miracleinmyname, thatcanlightly speak evil of me.
40For he thatisnotagainstusisonourpart.
41Forwhosoevershallgiveyou a cup of water to drinkinmyname, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shallnotlosehisreward.
42Andwhosoever shall offendone of these little onesthatbelieveinme, it isbetter for himthat a millstone were hangedabouthisneck, and he were castinto the sea.
43Andifthyhandoffendthee, cutitoff: itisbetter for thee to enterintolifemaimed, thanhavingtwohands to gointohell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
44Wheretheirwormdiethnot, and the fireisnotquenched.
45Andifthyfootoffendthee, cutitoff: itisbetter for thee to enterhaltintolife, thanhavingtwofeet to be castintohell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
46Wheretheirwormdiethnot, and the fireisnotquenched.
47Andifthineeyeoffendthee, pluckitout: itisbetter for thee to enterinto the kingdom of God with one eye, thanhavingtwoeyes to be castintohellfire:
48Wheretheirwormdiethnot, and the fireisnotquenched.
49Foreveryone shall be salted with fire, andeverysacrifice shall be salted with salt.
50Salt is good: butif the salthavelost his saltness, wherewith will ye seasonit?Havesaltinyourselves, andhavepeaceonewithanother.
