The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certainking, whichmade a marriage for hisson,
And sent forthhisservantstocall them that were biddento the wedding: and they wouldnotcome.
Again, he sent forthotherservants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have preparedmydinner: myoxenandmyfatlings are killed, and all things are ready: comeunto the marriage.
But they made light of it, and went their ways, onetohisfarm, anothertohismerchandise:
And the remnanttookhisservants, and entreated them spitefully, andslew them.
But when the kingheard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forthhisarmies, anddestroyedthosemurderers, and burned uptheircity.
Then saith he to hisservants, The weddingisready, but they which werebiddenwerenotworthy.

Go yethereforeinto the highways, andas many asye shall find, bidto the marriage.
Sothoseservants went outinto the highways, and gathered togetherallas many as they found, bothbadandgood: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
Andwhen the king came in to see the guests, he sawthere a man which hadnoton a weddinggarment:
And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hithernothaving a weddinggarment? And he was speechless.
Thensaid the king to the servants, Bindhimhandandfoot, andtakehimaway, andcasthimintoouterdarkness; there shall beweepingandgnashing of teeth.
Formanyarecalled, butfewarechosen.
Thenwent the Pharisees, and tookcounselhow they might entanglehimin his talk.
And they sent out unto himtheirdiscipleswith the Herodians, saying, Master, we knowthatthouarttrue, andteachest the way of Godintruth, neithercarestthouforany man: forthouregardestnot the person of men.
Tellustherefore, Whatthinkestthou? Is it lawful to givetribute unto Caesar, ornot?
ButJesusperceivedtheirwickedness, and said, Why tempt yeme, yehypocrites?
Shewme the tributemoney. And they brought unto him a penny.
And he saith unto them, Whose is thisimageandsuperscription?

They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Rendertherefore unto Caesar the things which areCaesar's; and unto God the things that areGod's.
When they had heard these words, they marvelled, andlefthim, and went their way.

The samedaycame to him the Sadducees, whichsay that there isnoresurrection, andaskedhim,
Saying, Master, Mosessaid, If a mandie, havingnochildren, hisbrother shall marryhiswife, and raise upseed unto hisbrother.
Now there werewithussevenbrethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, havingnoissue, lefthiswife unto hisbrother:
Likewise the secondalso, and the third, unto the seventh.
Andlast of all the womandiedalso.
Thereforein the resurrectionwhosewife shall she be of the seven?for they allhadher.
Jesusansweredandsaid unto them, Ye do err, notknowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
Forin the resurrection they neithermarry, norare given inmarriage, butareas the angels of Godinheaven.
But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have yenotread that which was spoken unto youbyGod, saying,
Iam the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?Godisnot the God of the dead, but of the living.
And when the multitudeheard this, they were astonishedathisdoctrine.
But when the Pharisees had heardthat he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.
Thenoneofthem, which was a lawyer, askedhim a question, temptinghim, andsaying,
Master, which is the greatcommandmentin the law?
Jesussaid unto him, Thou shalt love the LordthyGodwithallthyheart, andwithallthysoul, andwithallthymind.
Thisis the firstandgreatcommandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt lovethyneighbourasthyself.
Onthesetwocommandmentshangall the lawand the prophets.
While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesusaskedthem,
Saying, WhatthinkyeofChrist?whoseson is he? They say unto him, The SonofDavid.

He saith unto them, Howthen doth DavidinspiritcallhimLord, saying,

The LORDsaid unto myLord, Sit thouonmy right hand, till I makethineenemiesthyfootstool?
IfDavidthencallhimLord, how is hehisson?
And no man was able to answerhim a word, neitherdurstanymanfromthatday forth askhimanymore questions.
