Andafter these things I sawanotherangel come downfromheaven, havinggreatpower; and the earth was lightenedwithhisglory.
And he criedmightilywith a strongvoice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of everyfoulspirit, and a cage of everyuncleanandhatefulbird.
Forallnations have drunkof the wineof the wrathofherfornication, and the kingsof the earth have committed fornicationwithher, and the merchantsof the earth are waxed richthrough the abundanceofherdelicacies.
And I heardanothervoicefromheaven, saying, Come out ofher, mypeople, that ye benotpartakersofhersins, andthat ye receivenotofherplagues.
Forhersins have reacheduntoheaven, andGod hath rememberedheriniquities.
Rewardherevenassherewardedyou, anddouble unto herdouble according toherworks: in the cupwhichshe hath filledfilltoherdouble.

How much she hath glorifiedherself, and lived deliciously, so muchtormentandsorrowgiveher: for she saithinherheart, I sit a queen, andamnowidow, and shall seenosorrow.
Thereforeshallherplaguescomeinoneday, death, andmourning, andfamine; and she shall be utterly burnedwithfire: forstrong is the LordGodwhojudgethher.
And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornicationand lived deliciouslywithher, shall bewailher, andlamentforher, when they shall see the smoke of herburning,
Standingafarofffor the fear of hertorment, saying, Alas, alas, that greatcityBabylon, that mightycity! forinonehouristhyjudgmentcome.
And the merchants of the earth shall weepandmournoverher; for no manbuyeththeirmerchandise any more:

The merchandiseofgold, andsilver, andpreciousstones, andofpearls, and fine linen, andpurple, andsilk, andscarlet, andallthyinewood, andallmannervesselsofivory, andallmannervesselsof most preciouswood, andofbrass, andiron, andmarble,
Andcinnamon, andodours, andointments, andfrankincense, andwine, andoil, and fine flour, andwheat, andbeasts, andsheep, andhorses, andchariots, andslaves, andsouls of men.
And the fruits that thysoul lusted after are departedfromthee, andallthingswhich were daintyandgoodly are departedfromthee, and thou shalt findthem no more at all.

The merchants of these things, which were made richbyher, shall standafarofffor the fear of hertorment, weepingandwailing,
Andsaying, Alas, alas, that greatcity, that was clothed in fine linen, andpurple, andscarlet, anddeckedwithgold, andpreciousstones, andpearls!
Forinonehour so greatriches is come to nought. Andeveryshipmaster, andall the companyinships, andsailors, andas many astrade by sea, stoodafaroff,
Andcried when they saw the smoke of herburning, saying, Whatcity is like unto this greatcity!
And they castdustontheirheads, andcried, weepingandwailing, saying, Alas, alas, that greatcity, wherein were made richall that hadshipsin the sea by reason ofhercostliness! forinonehour is she made desolate.
Rejoiceoverher, thou heaven, and ye holyapostlesandprophets; forGod hath avengedyouonher.
Andamightyangel took upastonelikeagreatmillstone, andcast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violenceshall that greatcityBabylon be thrown down, andshall be found no more at all.
And the voice of harpers, andmusicians, and of pipers, andtrumpeters, shall be heardnomore at allinthee; andnocraftsman, of whatsoevercraft he be, shall be found any moreinthee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heardnomore at allinthee;
And the light of a candle shall shine no more at allinthee; and the voice of the bridegroomand of the bride shall be heard no more at allinthee: forthymerchantswere the great men of the earth; forbythysorcerieswereallnationsdeceived.
Andinher was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slainupon the earth.
