1And I sawwhen the Lambopenedoneof the seals, and I heard, as it were the noiseofthunder, oneof the fourbeastssaying, Comeandsee.
2And I saw, andbehold a whitehorse: and he that satonhimhad a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forthconquering, andtoconquer.
3Andwhen he had opened the secondseal, I heard the secondbeastsay, Comeandsee.
4And there went outanotherhorsethat was red: and power was given to himthatsatthereon to takepeacefrom the earth, andthat they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a greatsword.
5Andwhen he hadopened the thirdseal, I heard the thirdbeastsay, Comeandsee. And I beheld, andlo a blackhorse; and he that satonhimhad a pair of balancesinhishand.
6And I heard a voicein the midst of the fourbeastssay, A measure of wheat for a penny, andthreemeasures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurtnot the oiland the wine.
7Andwhen he had opened the fourthseal, I heard the voice of the fourthbeastsay, Comeandsee.
8And I looked, andbehold a palehorse: andhisname that satonhim was Death, andHellfollowedwithhim. Andpower was given unto themover the fourth part of the earth, to killwithsword, andwithhunger, andwithdeath, andwith the beasts of the earth.
9Andwhen he had opened the fifthseal, I sawunder the altar the souls of them that were slainfor the word of God, andfor the testimonywhich they held:
10And they cried with a loudvoice, saying, Howlong, O Lord, holyandtrue, dost thounotjudgeandavengeourbloodon them that dwellon the earth?
11Andwhiterobes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, thattheyshouldrestyet for a littleseason, untiltheirfellowservantsalsoandtheirbrethren, thatshould be killedasthey were, should be fulfilled.
12And I beheldwhen he had opened the sixthseal, and, lo, there was a greatearthquake; and the sunbecameblackassackcloth of hair, and the moonbecameasblood;
13And the starsofheavenfellunto the earth, even as a fig treecastethher untimely figs, when she is shakenof a mightywind.
14And the heavendepartedas a scroll when it is rolled together; andeverymountainandisland were moved out oftheirplaces.
15And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, andeverybondman, andevery free man, hidthemselvesin the densandin the rocks of the mountains;
16Andsaid to the mountainsandrocks, Fallonus, andhideusfrom the face of him that sittethon the throne, andfrom the wrath of the Lamb:
17For the greatday of hiswrath is come; andwho shall be able to stand?
