Whatadvantagethen hath the Jew?orwhatprofit is there of circumcision?
Mucheveryway: chiefly, becausethat unto them were committed the oracles of God.
Forwhatifsome did not believe?shalltheirunbeliefmake the faith of God without effect?
Godforbid: yea, letGodbetrue, buteveryman a liar; as it is written, Thatthoumightestbejustifiedinthysayings, andmightestovercomewhenthou art judged.
Butifourunrighteousnesscommend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is Godunrighteous who taketh vengeance?(I speakas a man)
Godforbid: for thenhowshallGodjudge the world?
Forif the truth of God hath more aboundedthroughmylieuntohisglory; whyyetam I alsojudgedas a sinner?
Andnot rather,(aswe be slanderously reported, andassomeaffirmthatwesay,) Let us doevil, thatgood may come?whosedamnationisjust.
Whatthen?are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before provedbothJewsandGentiles, that they areallundersin;
As it iswritten, There isnonerighteous, no, notone:

There isnone that understandeth, there isnone that seeketh afterGod.

They areall gone out of the way, they aretogether become unprofitable; there isnone that doethgood, no, notone.
Theirthroat is an opensepulchre; with theirtongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is undertheirlips:
Whosemouth is full of cursingandbitterness:
Theirfeet are swift to shedblood:
Destructionandmisery are intheirways:
And the way of peacehave they notknown:

There isnofear of Godbeforetheireyes.
Now we knowthat what things soever the lawsaith, it saith to them who are under the law: thateverymouth may be stopped, andall the world may becomeguilty before God.
Thereforeby the deeds of the law there shallnoflesh be justified in hissight: forby the law is the knowledge of sin.
Butnow the righteousness of Godwithout the law is manifested, being witnessedby the lawand the prophets;
Even the righteousness of God which isbyfaith of JesusChristuntoallanduponall them that believe: for there isnodifference:
Forall have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Being justifiedfreely by hisgracethrough the redemption that is inChristJesus:
WhomGod hath set forthto be a propitiationthroughfaithinhisblood, todeclarehisrighteousnessfor the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Todeclare, I say, atthistimehisrighteousness: that he might bejust, and the justifier of him which believethinJesus.
Where is boastingthen? It is excluded. Bywhatlaw? of works?Nay: butby the law of faith.
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faithwithout the deeds of the law.

Is he the God of the Jewsonly? is henotalso of the Gentiles?Yes, of the Gentilesalso:
Seeing it is oneGod, which shall justify the circumcisionbyfaith, anduncircumcisionthroughfaith.

Do wethen make void the lawthroughfaith? God forbid: yea, weestablish the law.
