Therefore seeing we havethisministry, as we have received mercy, we faintnot;
2But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, notwalkingincraftiness, norhandling the word of Goddeceitfully; but by manifestation of the truthcommendingourselvestoevery man's consciencein the sight of God.
3Butifourgospelbehid, it ishidto them that are lost:

5For we preachnotourselves, butChristJesus the Lord; andourselvesyourservantsforJesus' sake.
6ForGod, whocommanded the lighttoshine out ofdarkness, hath shinedinourhearts, to give the lightof the knowledgeof the gloryofGodin the faceofJesusChrist.
7But we havethistreasureinearthenvessels, that the excellencyof the power may beofGod, andnotofus.

We are troubledon every side, yetnotdistressed; we are perplexed, butnot in despair;

13Wehaving the samespirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, andtherefore have I spoken; wealsobelieve, andthereforespeak;
14Knowingthat he which raised up the LordJesus shall raise upusalsobyJesus, and shall presentuswithyou.
15For all things are foryoursakes, that the abundantgracemightthrough the thanksgiving of manyredoundto the glory of God.

For which cause we faintnot; butthoughouroutwardmanperish, yet the inwardman is reneweddaybyday.
17Forourlightaffliction, which is but for a moment, workethforus a far more exceeding and eternalweight of glory;
