Andwhen the day of Pentecost was fully come, they wereall with one accordin one place.
Andsuddenly there came a soundfromheavenas of a rushingmightywind, and it filledall the housewhere they weresitting.
And there appeared unto themcloventongues like as of fire, and it satuponeach of them.
And they wereallfilledwith the HolyGhost, andbegan to speak withothertongues, as the Spiritgavethemutterance.
And there weredwellingatJerusalemJews, devoutmen, out ofeverynationunderheaven.
Now when thiswas noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that everymanheardthemspeak in his ownlanguage.
And they wereallamazedandmarvelled, saying one to another, Behold, arenotallthesewhichspeakGalilaeans?
Andhowhearweevery man in ourowntongue, whereinwe were born?
Parthians, andMedes, andElamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, andCappadocia, in Pontus, andAsia,
Phrygia, andPamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of LibyaaboutCyrene, andstrangers of Rome, Jewsandproselytes,
CretesandArabians, we do hearthemspeak in ourtongues the wonderful works of God.
And they wereallamazed, andwere in doubt, sayingonetoanother, Whatmeaneththis?
Othersmockingsaid, These men arefull of new wine.
ButPeter, standing upwith the eleven, lifted uphisvoice, andsaid unto them, Ye men of Judaea, andall ye that dwell at Jerusalem, bethisknown unto you, andhearken to mywords:
Forthesearenotdrunken, asyesuppose, seeing it is but the thirdhour of the day.
Butthisis that which was spokenby the prophetJoel;
And it shall come to passin the lastdays, saithGod, I will pour outofmySpirituponallflesh: andyoursonsandyourdaughters shall prophesy, andyour young men shall seevisions, andyour old men shall dreamdreams:
Andonmyservantsandonmyhandmaidens I will pour outinthosedaysofmySpirit; and they shall prophesy:
And I will shewwondersinheavenabove, andsignsin the earthbeneath; blood, andfire, andvapour of smoke:

The sun shall be turnedintodarkness, and the moonintoblood, before that greatandnotableday of the Lordcome:
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Ye menofIsrael, hearthesewords; JesusofNazareth, a manapprovedofGodamongyoubymiraclesandwondersandsigns, whichGoddidbyhimin the midstofyou, as ye yourselvesalsoknow:
Him, being deliveredby the determinatecounselandforeknowledge of God, ye have taken, andbywickedhands have crucifiedandslain:
WhomGod hath raised up, having loosed the painsofdeath: becauseitwasnotpossible that he should be holdenofit.
ForDavidspeakethconcerninghim, I foresaw the Lordalwaysbeforemy face, for he isonmy right hand, that I shouldnot be moved:
Thereforedidmyheartrejoice, andmytongue was glad; moreoveralsomyflesh shall restinhope:
Because thou wiltnotleavemysoulinhell, neitherwilt thou sufferthine Holy One to seecorruption.

Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt makemefull of joywiththycountenance.
Menandbrethren, letmefreelyspeakuntoyouof the patriarchDavid, that he isbothdeadandburied, andhissepulchreiswithusuntothisday.
Thereforebeing a prophet, andknowingthatGod had sworn with an oathtohim, thatof the fruitofhisloins, according to the flesh, he would raise upChristtositonhisthrone;

He seeing this beforespakeof the resurrectionofChrist, thathissoulwasnotleftinhell, neitherhisflesh did seecorruption.
Thereforebeing by the right handofGodexalted, and having receivedof the Father the promiseof the HolyGhost, he hath shed forththis, whichyenowseeandhear.
ForDavid is notascendedinto the heavens: but he saithhimself, The LORDsaid unto myLord, Sit thouonmy right hand,
Until I makethyfoesthyfootstool.
Thereforeletall the house of Israelknowassuredly, thatGod hath madethatsameJesus, whomye have crucified, bothLordandChrist.
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, andsaiduntoPeterand to the rest of the apostles, Menandbrethren, what shall we do?
ThenPetersaiduntothem, Repent, and be baptized every one of youin the name of JesusChristfor the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the HolyGhost.
For the promiseis unto you, and to yourchildren, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LordourGod shall call.
And with manyotherwords did he testifyandexhort, saying, Save yourselvesfromthisuntowardgeneration.
Then they that gladlyreceivedhisword were baptized: and the sameday there were added unto them about three thousandsouls.
And they continuedstedfastly in the apostles' doctrineandfellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Andfear came uponeverysoul: andmanywondersandsigns were doneby the apostles.
Andall that believedweretogether, andhadallthingscommon;
Andsold their possessionsandgoods, andpartedthem to all men, as every manhadneed.
And they, continuingdailywith one accordin the temple, andbreakingbreadfromhouse to house, did eat their meatwithgladnessandsingleness of heart,
PraisingGod, andhavingfavourwithall the people. And the Lordadded to the churchdaily such as should be saved.
