1AndSaul, yet breathing outthreateningsandslaughteragainst the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

And desiredofhimletterstoDamascusto the synagogues, thatif he foundanyof this way, whether they weremenorwomen, he might bring thembounduntoJerusalem.
3And as hejourneyed, hecamenearDamascus: andsuddenly there shined round abouthim a lightfromheaven:
4And he fellto the earth, andheard a voicesaying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thoume?
5And he said, Who art thou, Lord?And the Lordsaid, IamJesuswhomthoupersecutest: it is hard for thee to kickagainst the pricks.
6And he tremblingandastonishedsaid, Lord, what wilt thouhaveme to do?And the Lordsaiduntohim, Arise, andgointo the city, and it shall be toldtheewhatthoumustdo.
7And the menwhichjourneyed with himstoodspeechless, hearing a voice, butseeing no man.
8AndSaularosefrom the earth; and when hiseyes were opened, he saw no man: but they ledhim by the hand, andbroughthimintoDamascus.
9And he wasthreedayswithoutsight, andneither did eatnordrink.
10And there was a certaindiscipleatDamascus, namedAnanias; andtohimsaid the Lordin a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
11And the Lord said untohim, Arise, andgointo the streetwhich is calledStraight, andenquirein the house of Judasfor one calledSaul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,
12And hath seenin a vision a mannamedAnanias coming in, andputting his handonhim, that he might receive his sight.
13ThenAnaniasanswered, Lord, I have heardbymanyofthisman, how muchevil he hath done to thysaintsatJerusalem:
14Andhere he hathauthorityfrom the chief priests to bindall that call on thyname.
15But the Lordsaiduntohim, Go thy way: forheis a chosenvesseluntome, to bearmynamebefore the Gentiles, andkings, and the children of Israel:
16ForI will shewhim how great thingshemustsufferformy name's sake.
17AndAnanias went his way, andenteredinto the house; andputting his handsonhimsaid, BrotherSaul, the Lord, even Jesus, thatappeared unto theein the wayas thou camest, hath sentme, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the HolyGhost.
18Andimmediately there fellfromhiseyesas it had been scales: and he received sightforthwith, andarose, and was baptized.
19And when he had receivedmeat, he wasstrengthened. ThenwasSaulcertaindayswith the disciples which were atDamascus.
20AndstraightwayhepreachedChristin the synagogues, thatheis the Son of God.
21Butallthatheard him were amazed, andsaid; Isnotthis he thatdestroyedthemwhich called onthisnameinJerusalem, andcamehitherforthatintent, that he might bringthemboundunto the chief priests?
22ButSaulincreased the more in strength, andconfounded the JewswhichdweltatDamascus, provingthatthisis very Christ.
23Andafter that manydays were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to killhim:
24Buttheir laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gatesdayandnighttokillhim.
25Then the disciplestookhimbynight, and let himdownby the wallin a basket.
26And when SaulwascometoJerusalem, he assayedto join himselfto the disciples: but they wereallafraid of him, andbelievednotthat he was a disciple.
27ButBarnabastookhim, andbroughthimto the apostles, anddeclared unto themhow he had seen the Lordin the way, andthat he had spokentohim, andhow he had preached boldlyatDamascusin the name of Jesus.
28And he waswiththem coming inand going outatJerusalem.
29And he spakeboldlyin the name of the LordJesus, anddisputedagainst the Grecians: but they went about to slayhim.

Which when the brethrenknew, they broughthimdowntoCaesarea, andsenthimforthtoTarsus.
31Thenhad the churchesrestthroughoutallJudaeaandGalileeandSamaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, andin the comfort of the HolyGhost, were multiplied.
32And it cameto pass, asPeter passed throughoutall quarters, he camedownalsoto the saintswhichdwelt at Lydda.
33Andthere he found a certainmannamedAeneas, which had kept his bedeightyears, andwas sick of the palsy.
34AndPetersaid unto him, Aeneas, JesusChristmakeththeewhole: arise, andmakethybed. And he aroseimmediately.
35Andall that dwelt at LyddaandSaronsawhim, andturnedto the Lord.
36Now there wasatJoppa a certaindisciplenamedTabitha, which by interpretation is calledDorcas: this womanwasfull of goodworksandalmsdeedswhich she did.
37And it came to passinthosedays, that she was sick, anddied: whom whenthey had washed, theylaid her in an upper chamber.
38And forasmuch asLyddawasnightoJoppa, and the disciples had heardthatPeterwasthere, they sentuntohimtwomen, desiringhimthat he wouldnotdelaytocometothem.
39ThenPeteraroseand went withthem. When hewascome, they brought himinto the upper chamber: andall the widows stood byhimweeping, andshewing the coatsandgarmentswhichDorcasmade, while she waswiththem.
40ButPeterput them allforth, and kneeled down, andprayed; andturning him to the bodysaid, Tabitha, arise. And she openedhereyes: and when she sawPeter, she sat up.
41And he gaveher his hand, andliftedherup, and when he had called the saintsandwidows, presentedheralive.
42And it wasknownthroughoutallJoppa; andmanybelievedin the Lord.
43And it came to pass, that hetarriedmanydaysinJoppawithoneSimon a tanner.
