2And early in the morning he cameagaininto the temple, andall the peoplecameuntohim; and he sat down, andtaughtthem.
3And the scribesandPhariseesbroughtuntohim a womantakeninadultery; and when they had setherin the midst,

They say unto him, Master, thiswoman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5NowMosesin the lawcommandedus, that such should be stoned: butwhatsayestthou?
6This they said, temptinghim, that they might have to accusehim. ButJesusstoopeddown, and with his fingerwroteon the ground, as though he heard them not.
7Sowhen they continuedaskinghim, he lifted up himself, and saiduntothem, He that is without sin among you, let himfirstcast a stoneather.
8Andagain he stoopeddown, andwroteon the ground.
9And they which heardit, being convictedby their own conscience, went outonebyone, beginningat the eldest, even unto the last: andJesus was leftalone, and the womanstandingin the midst.
10WhenJesus had lifted up himself, andsawnonebut the woman, he said unto her, Woman, wherearethosethineaccusers?hath no mancondemnedthee?

She said, No man, Lord. AndJesussaid unto her, NeitherdoIcondemnthee: go, andsin no more.
12ThenspakeJesusagain unto them, saying, Iam the light of the world: he that followethmeshallnotwalkindarkness, butshallhave the light of life.

The Phariseesthereforesaid unto him, Thou bearest recordofthyself; thyrecordisnottrue.
16AndyetifIjudge, myjudgmentistrue: forIamnotalone, butIand the Father that sentme.

It isalsowritteninyourlaw, that the testimony of twomenistrue.
18Iam one that bear witnessofmyself, and the Father that sentme beareth witnessofme.
19Then said they unto him, WhereisthyFather?Jesusanswered, Yeneitherknowme, normyFather: ifye had knownme, ye should have knownmyFatheralso.
20ThesewordsspakeJesusin the treasury, as he taughtin the temple: and no man laid hands on him; forhishourwas not yetcome.
21ThensaidJesusagain unto them, Igo my way, andye shall seekme, and shall dieinyoursins: whitherIgo, yecannotcome.
22Thensaid the Jews, Will he killhimself?because he saith, WhitherIgo, yecannotcome.
23And he said unto them, Yearefrombeneath; Iamfromabove: yeareofthisworld; Iamnotofthisworld.
24Isaidtherefore unto you, that ye shall dieinyoursins: forif ye believenotthatIam he, ye shall dieinyoursins.
25Thensaidthey unto him, Whoartthou?AndJesussaith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.
26Ihave many thingstosayandtojudgeofyou: but he that sentmeistrue; andIspeakto the world those thingswhichIhaveheardofhim.

They understoodnotthat he spake to them of the Father.
28ThensaidJesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Sonofman, then shall ye knowthatIam he, andthatIdonothingofmyself; butasmyFather hath taughtme, Ispeak these things.
29And he that sentmeiswithme: the Fatherhathnotleftmealone; forIdoalways those things that pleasehim.

As hespake these words, manybelievedonhim.
31ThensaidJesusto those Jewswhichbelieved on him, Ifyecontinueinmyword, then are yemydisciplesindeed;
32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall makeyoufree.

They answeredhim, We be Abraham's seed, andwerenever in bondage to any man: howsayestthou, Ye shall bemadefree?
34Jesusansweredthem, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoevercommittethsinis the servant of sin.
35And the servantabidethnotin the houseforever: but the Sonabidethever.
36If the Sontherefore shall makeyoufree, ye shall befreeindeed.

I knowthat ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to killme, becausemywordhathnoplaceinyou.
38IspeakthatwhichI have seenwithmyFather: andyedothatwhichye have seenwithyourfather.

They answeredandsaid unto him, Abrahamisourfather. Jesussaith unto them, If ye wereAbraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
40Butnow ye seek to killme, a manthat hath toldyou the truth, which I have heardofGod: thisdidnotAbraham.
41Yedo the deedsofyourfather. Then said they to him, Webenotbornoffornication; wehaveoneFather, even God.
43Why do yenotunderstandmyspeech? even becauseyecannothearmyword.
44Yeareofyourfather the devil, and the lustsofyourfatheryewilldo. Hewas a murdererfrom the beginning, andabodenotin the truth, because there isnotruthinhim. Whenhespeaketh a lie, hespeakethof his own: forheis a liar, and the fatherofit.
45AndbecauseItell you the truth, ye believemenot.
46Whichofyouconvincethmeofsin?Andif I say the truth, whydoyenotbelieveme?

He that isofGodhearethGod's words: yethereforehear them not, becauseyearenotofGod.
48Thenanswered the Jews, andsaid unto him, Saywenotwellthatthouart a Samaritan, andhast a devil?
49Jesusanswered, Ihavenot a devil; butIhonourmyFather, andye do dishonourme.
50AndIseeknot mine ownglory: there is one that seekethandjudgeth.
51Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a mankeepmysaying, he shallneverseedeath.
52Thensaid the Jews unto him, Now we knowthatthouhast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; andthousayest, If a mankeepmysaying, he shallnevertaste of death.
53Artthou greater thanourfatherAbraham, which is dead?and the prophets are dead: whommakestthouthyself?
54Jesusanswered, IfIhonourmyself, myhonourisnothing: it ismyFatherthathonourethme; of whomyesay, that he isyourGod:
55Yet ye havenotknownhim; butIknowhim: andifI should say, Iknowhimnot, I shall be a liarlike unto you: butIknowhim, andkeephissaying.
56YourfatherAbrahamrejoicedtoseemyday: and he saw it, and was glad.
57Thensaid the Jewsuntohim, Thou art not yetfifty years old, and hast thou seenAbraham?
