1After these things the Lordappointedotherseventyalso, andsentthemtwoandtwobeforehisfaceintoeverycityandplace, whither he himselfwouldcome.
2Therefore said heuntothem, The harvesttruly is great, but the labourers are few: pray yetherefore the Lord of the harvest, thathe would send forthlabourersintohisharvest.

Go your ways: behold, Isendyouforthaslambsamongwolves.
4Carryneitherpurse, norscrip, norshoes: andsalute no manby the way.
5Andintowhatsoeverhouse ye enter, firstsay, Peace be to thishouse.
6Andif the son of peacebethere, yourpeace shall restuponit: ifnot, it shall turntoyouagain.
7Andin the samehouseremain, eatinganddrinking such things astheygive: for the labourerisworthy of hishire. Gonotfromhousetohouse.
8Andintowhatsoevercity ye enter, and they receiveyou, eat such things as are set beforeyou:
9Andheal the sick that are therein, andsayuntothem, The kingdom of God is come nighuntoyou.
10Butintowhatsoevercity ye enter, and they receiveyounot, go your ways outinto the streets of the same, andsay,
11Even the very dustofyourcity, whichcleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sureofthis, that the kingdomofGod is come nighuntoyou.
12But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerableinthatday for Sodom, than for thatcity.
13Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! forif the mighty workshad been doneinTyreandSidon, which have been doneinyou, they had a great while agorepented, sittinginsackclothandashes.
14But it shall be more tolerable for TyreandSidonat the judgment, than for you.
15Andthou, Capernaum, which art exaltedtoheaven, shalt be thrust downtohell.

He that hearethyouhearethme; and he that despisethyoudespisethme; and he that despisethmedespiseth him that sentme.
17And the seventy returned againwithjoy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto usthroughthyname.
18And he said unto them, I beheldSatanaslightningfallfromheaven.
19Behold, I give unto youpower to treadonserpentsandscorpions, andoverall the power of the enemy: andnothingshall by any meanshurtyou.
20Notwithstandinginthisrejoicenot, that the spirits are subject unto you; butratherrejoice, becauseyournames are writteninheaven.
21InthathourJesus rejoiced inspirit, andsaid, I thankthee, O Father, Lord of heavenandearth, that thou hast hid these thingsfrom the wiseandprudent, and hast revealedthem unto babes: even so, Father; forso it seemedgoodinthysight.

All things are delivered to meofmyFather: and no manknowethwho the Sonis, but the Father; andwho the Fatheris, but the Son, and he to whom the Sonwillreveal him.
23And he turned himunto his disciples, andsaidprivately, Blessed are the eyeswhichsee the things that ye see:
24For I tellyou, thatmanyprophetsandkingshavedesired to see those things whichyesee, andhavenotseen them; and to hear those things whichyehear, andhavenotheard them.
25And, behold, a certainlawyer stood up, andtemptedhim, saying, Master, what shall I do to inheriteternallife?

He saiduntohim, What is writtenin the law?how readest thou?
27And he answeringsaid, Thou shalt love the LordthyGodwithallthyheart, andwithallthysoul, andwithallthystrength, andwithallthymind; andthyneighbourasthyself.
28And he said unto him, Thou hast answeredright: thisdo, and thou shalt live.
29But he, willing to justifyhimself, saiduntoJesus, Andwhoismyneighbour?
30AndJesusansweringsaid, A certainman went downfromJerusalemtoJericho, and fell amongthieves, whichstrippedhim of his raiment, andwoundedhim, anddeparted, leavinghim half dead.
31Andbychance there came down a certainpriestthatway: and when he sawhim, he passed by on the other side.
32Andlikewise a Levite, when he wasat the place, cameandlooked on him, and passed by on the other side.
33But a certainSamaritan, as he journeyed, camewhere he was: and when he sawhim, he had compassion on him,
34Andwenttohim, and bound uphiswounds, pouring inoilandwine, andsethimonhisownbeast, andbroughthimto an inn, and took care of him.
35Andon the morrow when he departed, he took outtwopence, andgave them to the host, andsaid unto him, Take care of him; andwhatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repaythee.
36Whichnow of thesethree, thinkestthou, wasneighbour unto him that fellamong the thieves?
37And he said, He that shewedmercyonhim. ThensaidJesus unto him, Go, anddothoulikewise.
38Now it came to pass, astheywent, thatheenteredinto a certainvillage: and a certainwomannamedMarthareceivedhimintoherhouse.
39Andshehad a sistercalledMary, whichalsosatatJesus' feet, andheardhisword.
40ButMartha was cumberedaboutmuchserving, and came to him, andsaid, Lord, dostthounotcarethatmysister hath leftme to servealone?bidherthereforethat she helpme.
41AndJesusansweredandsaid unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art carefulandtroubledabout many things:
42But one thingisneedful: andMary hath chosen that goodpart, whichshallnot be taken awayfromher.
