AndHerodsaid, JohnhaveIbeheaded: butwhoisthis, ofwhomIhear such things? And he desired to seehim.

And he saidto them all, If any manwillcomeafterme, let him denyhimself, and take uphiscrossdaily, andfollowme.
Forwhosoeverwillsavehislife shall loseit: butwhosoeverwilllosehislifeformysake, the same shall saveit.
Forwhatis a manadvantaged, if he gain the wholeworld, andlosehimself, or be cast away?
Forwhosoevershall be ashamed of meand of mywords, of himshall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shallcomein his ownglory, andin his Father's, and of the holyangels.
But I tellyou of a truth, there besomestandinghere, whichshallnottaste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

Andsentmessengersbeforehisface: and they went, andenteredinto a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.
And they didnotreceivehim, becausehisfacewas as though he would gotoJerusalem.
And when hisdisciplesJamesandJohnsaw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we commandfire to come downfromheaven, andconsumethem, evenasEliasdid?
