And it came to passafterward, thathewent throughout everycityandvillage, preachingand shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were withhim,
Andcertainwomen, which had beenhealedofevilspiritsandinfirmities, MarycalledMagdalene, out ofwhomwentsevendevils,
AndJoanna the wifeofChuza Herod's steward, andSusanna, andmanyothers, whichministered unto himoftheirsubstance.
And when muchpeople were gathered together, and were cometohim out of everycity, he spakeby a parable:

A sower went out to sowhisseed: andashesowed, somefellby the way side; andit was trodden down, and the fowls of the airdevouredit.
Andsomefellupon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lackedmoisture.
Andsomefellamongthorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, andchokedit.
Andotherfellongoodground, and sprang up, andbarefruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hathears to hear, let him hear.
And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to othersinparables; thatseeing they mightnotsee, andhearing they mightnotunderstand.
Now the parableisthis: The seedis the word of God.
Thoseby the way sideare they that hear; thencometh the devil, and taketh away the word out oftheirhearts, lest they should believeand be saved.

They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the wordwithjoy; andthesehavenoroot, whichfor a whilebelieve, andintime of temptation fall away.
And that which fellamongthornsarethey, which, when they have heard, go forth, andarechokedwithcaresandrichesandpleasures of this life, andbringno fruit to perfection.
But that on the goodgroundarethey, whichin an honestandgoodheart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruitwithpatience.

No man, when he hath lighted a candle, coverethit with a vessel, orputtethitunder a bed; butsettethiton a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
Fornothingissecret, thatshallnot be mademanifest; neither any thing hid, thatshallnot be knownandcomeabroad.

Take heedthereforehow ye hear: forwhosoeverhath, to him shall be given; andwhosoeverhathnot, fromhim shall be takeneven that which he seemeth to have.
Thencametohimhismotherandhisbrethren, andcouldnotcome at himfor the press.
And it was toldhim by certain which said, Thymotherandthybrethrenstandwithout, desiring to seethee.
And he answeredandsaiduntothem, Mymotherandmybrethrenarethesewhichhear the word of God, anddoit.
Now it came to passon a certainday, thathewentinto a shipwithhisdisciples: andhesaiduntothem, Let us go overunto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.
But as theysailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of windon the lake; andthey were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
And they came to him, andawokehim, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, andrebuked the windand the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
And he said unto them, Whereisyourfaith? And they being afraidwondered, saying one to another, What manner of manisthis! for he commandetheven the windsandwater, and they obeyhim.
And they arrivedat the country of the Gadarenes, whichis over againstGalilee.
And when he went forthtoland, there methim out of the city a certainman, whichhaddevilslongtime, andwarenoclothes, neitherabodein any house, butin the tombs.
When he sawJesus, he cried out, and fell down beforehim, andwith a loudvoicesaid, What have I to do withthee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high?Ibeseechthee, tormentmenot.

(For he had commanded the uncleanspirit to come out of the man. Foroftentimes it had caughthim: and he was keptbound with chainsand in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was drivenof the devilinto the wilderness.)
AndJesusaskedhim, saying, Whatisthyname? And he said, Legion: becausemanydevils were enteredintohim.
And they besoughthimthat he wouldnotcommandthem to go outinto the deep.
Andtherewasthere an herd of manyswinefeedingon the mountain: and they besoughthimthat he would sufferthem to enterintothem. And he sufferedthem.
Thenwent the devils out of the man, andenteredinto the swine: and the herdran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.
When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, andwentandtold it in the cityandin the country.
Then they went outtosee what was done; andcametoJesus, andfound the man, outofwhom the devils were departed, sittingat the feetofJesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

They also which saw it toldthem by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed.
Then the wholemultitude of the country of the Gadarenes round aboutbesoughthim to departfromthem; for they were taken with greatfear: andhe went upinto the ship, and returned back again.
Now the man out ofwhom the devils were departedbesoughthim that he might bewithhim: butJesussenthimaway, saying,
Returnto thine ownhouse, andshew how great thingsGod hath done unto thee. And he went his way, andpublishedthroughout the wholecity how great thingsJesus had done unto him.
And it came to pass, that, whenJesus was returned, the people gladly receivedhim: for they wereall waiting forhim.
And, behold, there came a mannamedJairus, andhewas a ruler of the synagogue: andhe fell downatJesus' feet, andbesoughthim that he would comeintohishouse:
Forhehad one onlydaughter, abouttwelve years of age, andshe lay a dying. Butashewent the peoplethrongedhim.
And a womanhaving an issueofbloodtwelveyears, which had spentall her livinguponphysicians, neithercould be healedofany,
Camebehind him, andtouched the border of hisgarment: andimmediatelyherissue of bloodstanched.
AndJesussaid, Whotouchedme?Whenalldenied, Peterand they that were withhimsaid, Master, the multitudethrongtheeandpressthee, andsayest thou, Whotouchedme?
AndJesussaid, Somebody hath touchedme: forIperceive that virtue is gone out ofme.
And when the womansawthat she wasnothid, she cametrembling, and falling down beforehim, she declared unto himbeforeall the peopleforwhatcause she had touchedhim, andhow she washealedimmediately.
And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thyfaith hath madetheewhole; goinpeace.

While heyetspake, there comethonefrom the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying to him, Thydaughter is dead; troublenot the Master.
But when Jesusheard it, he answeredhim, saying, Fearnot: believeonly, and she shall be made whole.
And when he cameinto the house, he sufferednoman to go in, savePeter, andJames, andJohn, and the fatherand the mother of the maiden.
Andallwept, andbewailedher: but he said, Weepnot; she isnotdead, butsleepeth.
And they laughedhim to scorn, knowingthat she was dead.
Andheput them allout, andtookher by the hand, andcalled, saying, Maid, arise.
Andherspirit came again, and she arosestraightway: and he commanded to givehermeat.
Andherparents were astonished: but he chargedthem that they should tell no man what was done.
