There were presentat that seasonsome that toldhimof the Galilaeans, whosebloodPilate had mingledwiththeirsacrifices.
2AndJesusansweringsaid unto them, Suppose yethattheseGalilaeansweresinnersaboveall the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?

I tellyou, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shallalllikewiseperish.
4Orthoseeighteen, uponwhom the towerinSiloamfell, andslewthem, think yethattheyweresinnersaboveallmenthatdweltinJerusalem?

He spakealsothisparable; A certain man had a fig treeplantedinhisvineyard; and he cameandsoughtfruitthereon, andfoundnone.
7Then said heunto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these threeyears I comeseekingfruitonthis fig tree, andfindnone: cutitdown; whycumberethit the ground?
8And he answeringsaid unto him, Lord, letitalonethisyearalso, till I shall digaboutit, anddungit:

And ifitbearfruit, well: and ifnot, then after that thou shalt cutitdown.
10And he wasteachinginone of the synagogueson the sabbath.
11And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmityeighteenyears, andwas bowed together, andcouldinnowise lift up herself.
12And when Jesussawher, he calledher to him, andsaid unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thineinfirmity.
13And he laid his handsonher: andimmediately she was made straight, andglorifiedGod.
14And the ruler of the synagogueanswered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbathday, andsaid unto the people, There aresixdaysinwhich men ought to work: inthemthereforecomeand be healed, andnot on the sabbathday.

The Lordthenansweredhim, andsaid, Thou hypocrite, dothnot each one of you on the sabbathloosehisoxorhisassfrom the stall, and lead himaway to watering?
16Andoughtnotthiswoman, being a daughter of Abraham, whomSatan hath bound, lo, these eighteenyears, be loosedfromthisbond on the sabbathday?
17And when he had said these things, allhisadversaries were ashamed: andall the peoplerejoicedforall the glorious things that were donebyhim.
18Then said he, Unto whatis the kingdom of Godlike?andwhereunto shall I resembleit?
19Itislike a grain of mustard seed, which a mantook, andcastintohisgarden; anditgrew, andwaxed a greattree; and the fowls of the airlodgedin the branches of it.
20Andagain he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?

It islikeleaven, which a womantook and hidinthreemeasures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
22And he wentthrough the citiesandvillages, teaching, andjourneyingtowardJerusalem.
23Thensaidoneuntohim, Lord, are there few that be saved?And he saiduntothem,
24Strive to enter inat the straitgate: formany, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, andshallnot be able.

When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to standwithout, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answerandsay unto you, I knowyounotwhence ye are:
26Then shall ye begin to say, We have eatenanddrunkinthypresence, and thou hast taughtinourstreets.
27But he shall say, I tellyou, I knowyounotwhence ye are; departfromme, all ye workers of iniquity.
28There shall beweepingandgnashing of teeth, when ye shall seeAbraham, andIsaac, andJacob, andall the prophets, in the kingdom of God, andyou yourselves thrustout.
29And they shall comefrom the east, andfrom the west, andfrom the north, andfrom the south, and shall sit downin the kingdom of God.
30And, behold, there arelastwhich shall befirst, and there arefirstwhich shall belast.

The sameday there camecertain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get theeout, anddeparthence: forHerodwillkillthee.
32And he said unto them, Go ye, andtellthatfox, Behold, I cast outdevils, and I docures to dayand to morrow, and the thirdday I shall be perfected.
33NeverthelessImustwalk to day, and to morrow, and the dayfollowing: for it cannot be that a prophetperish out ofJerusalem.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, whichkillest the prophets, andstonest them that are sentuntothee; how oftenwould I have gatheredthychildrentogether, as a hen doth gather herbroodunderherwings, and ye wouldnot!
35Behold, yourhouse is left unto youdesolate: andverily I say unto you, Ye shallnotseeme, until the time comewhen ye shallsay, Blessed is he that comethin the name of the Lord.
