And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men oughtalways to pray, andnot to faint;
Saying, There wasinacityajudge, which fearednotGod, neitherregardedman:
And there was a widowinthatcity; and she cameuntohim, saying, Avengemeofmineadversary.
And he wouldnotfor a while: butafterward he saidwithinhimself, Though I fearnotGod, norregardman;
Yetbecausethiswidowtroublethme, I will avengeher, lestbyhercontinualcoming she wearyme.
And the Lordsaid, Hearwhat the unjustjudgesaith.
AndshallnotGodavenge his ownelect, whichcrydayandnightuntohim, though he bear longwiththem?

I tellyouthat he willavengethemspeedily. Neverthelesswhen the Son of mancometh, shall he findfaithon the earth?
And he spakethisparableuntocertainwhichtrustedinthemselvesthat they wererighteous, anddespisedothers:
Twomen went upinto the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.

The Phariseestood and prayedthuswithhimself, God, I thankthee, that I amnotasothermen are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, orevenasthispublican.

I fasttwice in the week, I give tithes of allthat I possess.
And the publican, standing afar off, wouldnot lift up so much ashiseyesuntoheaven, butsmoteuponhisbreast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

I tellyou, this man went downtohishousejustified rather than the other: for every one that exaltethhimself shall be abased; and he that humblethhimself shall be exalted.
And they brought unto himalsoinfants, that he would touchthem: but when his disciplessaw it, they rebukedthem.
ButJesuscalledthemunto him, andsaid, Suffer little children to comeuntome, andforbidthemnot: for of suchis the kingdom of God.
Verily I say unto you, Whosoevershallnotreceive the kingdom of Godas a little childshall in no wiseentertherein.
And a certainruleraskedhim, saying, GoodMaster, what shall I do to inheriteternallife?
AndJesussaid unto him, Why callest thoumegood?none is good, saveone, that is, God.
And he said, Allthese have I keptfrommyyouth up.
Now when Jesusheard these things, he said unto him, Yetlackestthouone thing: sellallthatthouhast, anddistribute unto the poor, andthou shalt havetreasureinheaven: andcome, followme.
And when he heardthis, he wasverysorrowful: for he wasveryrich.
And when Jesussaw that hewas very sorrowful, hesaid, Howhardly shall they that haverichesenterinto the kingdom of God!
For it iseasierfor a camel to gothrough a needle's eye, thanfor a rich man to enterinto the kingdom of God.
And they that heard it said, Whothen can besaved?
And he said, The things which areimpossiblewithmenarepossiblewithGod.
ThenPetersaid, Lo, we have leftall, andfollowedthee.
And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no manthat hath lefthouse, orparents, orbrethren, orwife, orchildren, for the kingdom of God's sake,
Whoshallnotreceive manifold moreinthis present time, andin the world to comelifeeverlasting.
Then he tookunto him the twelve, andsaiduntothem, Behold, we go uptoJerusalem, and all things that are writtenby the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:
And they shall scourgehim, andputhim to death: and the thirdday he shall rise again.
Andtheyunderstoodnone of these things: andthissayingwashidfromthem, neither knew they the things which were spoken.
And it came to pass, that ashe was come nighuntoJericho, a certain blind mansatby the way sidebegging:
Andhearing the multitude pass by, he askedwhatitmeant.
And they toldhim, thatJesus of Nazareth passeth by.
And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
And they which went beforerebukedhim, thathe should hold his peace: buthecried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
AndJesusstood, andcommandedhim to be broughtuntohim: and when he was come near, heaskedhim,
Saying, What wilt thouthat I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
