2And, behold, there was a mannamedZacchaeus, whichwas the chief among the publicans, andhewasrich.
3And he sought to seeJesuswho he was; andcouldnotfor the press, because he waslittle of stature.
4And he ranbefore, and climbed upinto a sycomore treetoseehim: for he wastopassthat way.
5AndwhenJesuscameto the place, he looked up, andsawhim, andsaiduntohim, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; fortodayImustabideatthyhouse.
6And he made haste, and came down, andreceivedhimjoyfully.
7And when theysaw it, theyallmurmured, saying, That he was gone to be guestwith a manthat is a sinner.
8AndZacchaeusstood, andsaidunto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of mygoods I give to the poor; andif I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
9AndJesussaiduntohim, Thisdayissalvationcome to thishouse, forsomuch ashealsois a son of Abraham.
10For the Son of man is come to seekand to save that which was lost.
11And as theyheard these things, headdedandspake a parable, becausehewasnigh to Jerusalem, andbecausetheythoughtthat the kingdom of Godshouldimmediatelyappear.

He saidtherefore, A certainnoblemanwentinto a farcountry to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13And he calledhistenservants, anddeliveredthemtenpounds, andsaiduntothem, Occupytill I come.
14Buthiscitizenshatedhim, andsent a messageafterhim, saying, We willnothavethis man to reignoverus.
15And it came to pass, thatwhenhe was returned, having received the kingdom, thenhecommandedtheseservants to be called unto him, to whomhe had given the money, thathe might know how much every man had gained by trading.
16Thencame the first, saying, Lord, thypound hath gainedtenpounds.
17And he said unto him, Well, thou goodservant: because thou hast beenfaithfulin a very little, have thou authorityovertencities.
18And the secondcame, saying, Lord, thypound hath gainedfivepounds.
19And he saidlikewise to him, Bethoualsooverfivecities.
20Andanothercame, saying, Lord, behold, here is thypound, which I have kept laid upin a napkin:
21For I fearedthee, because thou art an austereman: thou takest upthat thou layedstnotdown, andreapestthat thou didstnotsow.
22And he saith unto him, Out of thine ownmouth will Ijudgethee, thou wickedservant. Thou knewestthatIwas an austereman, taking upthatIlaidnotdown, andreapingthatIdidnotsow:
23Whereforethengavestnotthoumymoneyinto the bank, that at mycomingImight have required mine ownwithusury?
24And he said unto them that stood by, Takefromhim the pound, andgive it to him that hathtenpounds.

(And they said unto him, Lord, he hathtenpounds.)
26For I say unto you, That unto every onewhichhath shall be given; andfromhimthathathnot, eventhat he hath shall be taken awayfromhim.
27Butthosemineenemies, whichwouldnot that I should reignoverthem, bringhither, andslaythembeforeme.
28And when he had thusspoken, he wentbefore, ascending uptoJerusalem.
29And it came topass, when he was come nightoBethphageandBethany, at the mountcalled the mount of Olives, he senttwo of hisdisciples,
30Saying, Go yeinto the village over against you; in the which at your enteringye shall find a colttied, whereon yet nevermansat: loosehim, and bringhim hither.
31Andif any manaskyou, Why do ye loosehim?thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lordhathneed of him.
32And they that were sent went their way, andfound even as he had said unto them.
33And as they were loosing the colt, the ownersthereofsaiduntothem, Why loose ye the colt?
34And they said, The Lordhathneed of him.
35And they broughthimtoJesus: and they casttheirgarmentsupon the colt, and they setJesusthereon.
36And as hewent, they spreadtheirclothesin the way.

And when he was come nigh, evennowat the descent of the mount of Olives, the wholemultitude of the disciplesbegan to rejoice and praiseGod with a loudvoiceforall the mighty worksthat they had seen;
38Saying, Blessed be the King that comethin the name of the Lord: peaceinheaven, andgloryin the highest.
39Andsome of the Phariseesfrom among the multitudesaiduntohim, Master, rebukethydisciples.
40And he answeredandsaid unto them, I tellyouthat, ifthese should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
41Andwhen he was come near, he beheld the city, andweptoverit,
42Saying, Ifthou hadst known, eventhou, at leastinthisthyday, the things which belong untothypeace! butnow they are hidfromthineeyes.
43For the days shall comeuponthee, thatthineenemies shall cast a trenchaboutthee, andcompasstheeround, andkeeptheein on every side,
44Andshalllaythee even with the ground, andthychildrenwithinthee; and they shallnotleaveinthee one stoneuponanother; because thou knewestnot the time of thyvisitation.
45And he wentinto the temple, andbegan to cast out them that soldtherein, and them that bought;
46Saying unto them, Itiswritten, Myhouseis the house of prayer: butye have madeit a den of thieves.
47And he taughtdailyin the temple. But the chiefpriestsand the scribesand the chief of the peoplesought to destroyhim,
48Andcouldnotfindwhat they might do: forall the people were very attentive to hearhim.
