1Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.
2And the chief priestsandscribessoughthow they might killhim; for they feared the people.
3ThenenteredSatanintoJudassurnamedIscariot, beingof the numberof the twelve.
4And he went his way, and communed with the chief priestsandcaptains, how he might betrayhim unto them.
5And they were glad, andcovenanted to givehimmoney.
6And he promised, andsoughtopportunity to betrayhim unto them in the absence of the multitude.
7Thencame the day of unleavened bread, when the passovermust be killed.
8And he sentPeterandJohn, saying, Goandprepareus the passover, that we may eat.
9And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?
10And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are enteredinto the city, there shall a manmeetyou, bearing a pitcher of water; followhiminto the housewhere he entereth in.
11And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Mastersaith unto thee, Whereis the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passoverwithmydisciples?
12And he shall shewyou a large upper roomfurnished: there make ready.
13And they went, andfoundas he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
14Andwhen the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelveapostleswithhim.
15And he saiduntothem, WithdesireI have desired to eatthispassoverwithyoubeforeIsuffer:
16For I say unto you, I willnot any moreeatthereof, until it be fulfilledin the kingdom of God.
17And he took the cup, and gave thanks, andsaid, Takethis, anddivide it among yourselves:
18For I say unto you, I willnotdrinkof the fruitof the vine, until the kingdomofGod shall come.
19And he tookbread, andgavethanks, andbrake it, andgave unto them, saying, Thisismybodywhichisgivenforyou: thisdo in remembranceofme.
20Likewisealso the cupaftersupper, saying, Thiscup is the newtestamentinmyblood, which is shedforyou.
21But, behold, the hand of him that betrayethme is withmeon the table.
22Andtruly the Son of mangoeth, as it was determined: butwoe unto thatmanbywhom he is betrayed!
23Andtheybegan to enquireamongthemselves, whichofthem it was that shoulddo this thing.
24And there wasalso a strifeamongthem, which of them should be accounted the greatest.
25And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship overthem; and they that exercise authority uponthem are calledbenefactors.
26Butye shall notbeso: but he that is greatestamongyou, let him beas the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.
27Forwhether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat?butIamamongyouas he that serveth.
28Yeare they which have continuedwithmeinmytemptations.

And Iappoint unto you a kingdom, asmyFather hath appointed unto me;
30That ye may eatanddrinkatmytableinmykingdom, andsitonthronesjudging the twelvetribes of Israel.
31And the Lordsaid, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may siftyouaswheat:
32ButI have prayedforthee, thatthyfaithfailnot: andwhenthou art converted, strengthenthybrethren.
33And he said unto him, Lord, I amreadytogowiththee, bothintoprison, andtodeath.
34And he said, I tellthee, Peter, the cockshallnotcrow this day, before thatthoushaltthricedenythatthouknowestme.
35And he said unto them, When I sentyouwithoutpurse, andscrip, andshoes, lacked ye any thing?And they said, Nothing.
36Then said he unto them, Butnow, he that hath a purse, let him take it, andlikewisehisscrip: andhe that hathnosword, let him sellhisgarment, andbuy one.
37For I say unto you, thatthisthat is writtenmustyet be accomplishedinme, And he was reckonedamong the transgressors: for the things concerningmehave an end.
38And they said, Lord, behold, here are twoswords. And he said unto them, It isenough.
39And he came out, andwent, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; andhisdisciplesalsofollowedhim.
40And when he wasat the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enternotintotemptation.
41Andhe was withdrawnfromthemabout a stone's cast, and kneeled down, andprayed,
42Saying, Father, if thou be willing, removethiscupfromme: neverthelessnotmywill, butthine, be done.
43And there appeared an angel unto himfromheaven, strengtheninghim.
44Andbeingin an agony he prayed more earnestly: andhissweatwas as it were great drops of blood falling downto the ground.
45And when he rose upfromprayer, and was cometohisdisciples, he foundthemsleepingforsorrow,
47And while heyetspake, behold a multitude, andhe that was calledJudas, one of the twelve, went beforethem, and drew near unto Jesus to kisshim.
48ButJesussaid unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
49When they which were abouthimsaw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smitewith the sword?
50Andoneofthemsmote the servantof the high priest, and cut offhisrightear.
51AndJesusansweredandsaid, Suffer yethusfar. And he touchedhisear, andhealedhim.
52ThenJesussaidunto the chief priests, andcaptains of the temple, and the elders, which were cometohim, Be ye comeout, asagainst a thief, withswordsandstaves?
53WhenIwasdailywithyouin the temple, ye stretched forthnohandsagainstme: butthisisyourhour, and the power of darkness.
54Then took theyhim, andledhim, andbroughthiminto the high priest's house. AndPeterfollowed afar off.
55And when they had kindled a firein the midst of the hall, and were set downtogether, Peter sat downamongthem.
56But a certainmaidbeheldhim as he satby the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, andsaid, This manwasalsowithhim.
57And he deniedhim, saying, Woman, I knowhimnot.
58Andafter a little whileanothersawhim, andsaid, Thouartalsoofthem. AndPetersaid, Man, I amnot.
59Andabout the spaceofonehour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truththis fellow alsowaswithhim: for he is a Galilaean.
60AndPetersaid, Man, I knownotwhat thou sayest. Andimmediately, while heyetspake, the cockcrew.
61And the Lordturned, and looked uponPeter. AndPeterremembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cockcrow, thou shalt denymethrice.
62AndPeterwentout, andweptbitterly.
63And the men that heldJesusmockedhim, andsmotehim.
64And when they had blindfoldedhim, they struckhim on the face, andaskedhim, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smotethee?
65Andmany other thingsblasphemously spake theyagainsthim.
66Andas soon as it wasday, the elders of the peopleand the chief priestsand the scribes came together, andledhimintotheircouncil, saying,
67Artthou the Christ?tellus. And he said unto them, If I tellyou, ye willnotbelieve:
68Andif I alsoask you, ye willnotanswerme, nor let mego.
69Hereaftershall the Son of mansiton the right hand of the power of God.
70Thensaid they all, Artthouthen the Son of God?And he saiduntothem, YesaythatIam.
71And they said, Whatneedwe any furtherwitness?forweourselves have heardof his ownmouth.
