1Andagain he enteredintoCapernaumafter some days; and it wasnoisedthat he wasin the house.
2Andstraightwaymany were gathered together, insomuch that there wasno room to receivethem, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.
3And they comeuntohim, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borneoffour.
4And when they couldnot come nigh unto himfor the press, they uncovered the roofwhere he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bedwherein the sick of the palsylay.
5WhenJesussawtheirfaith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thysins be forgiventhee.
6Buttherewerecertain of the scribessittingthere, andreasoningintheirhearts,
7Whydoththis man thusspeakblasphemies?whocanforgivesinsbutGodonly?
8Andimmediately when Jesusperceivedinhisspiritthat they soreasonedwithinthemselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these thingsinyourhearts?
9Whether is iteasier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thysins be forgiventhee; or to say, Arise, and take upthybed, andwalk?
10Butthat ye may knowthat the Son of manhathpoweronearth to forgive sins,(he saith to the sick of the palsy,)

I say unto thee, Arise, and take upthybed, and go thywayintothinehouse.
12Andimmediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forthbefore them all; insomuch that they wereallamazed, andglorifiedGod, saying, Weneversaw it on this fashion.
13And he went forthagainby the sea side; andall the multituderesorteduntohim, and he taughtthem.
14And as he passed by, he sawLevi the son of Alphaeussittingat the receipt of custom, andsaid unto him, Followme. And he aroseandfollowedhim.
15And it came to pass, that, as Jesussat at meatinhishouse, manypublicansandsinnerssatalso together withJesusandhisdisciples: for there weremany, and they followedhim.
16And when the scribesandPhariseessawhimeatwithpublicansandsinners, they said unto hisdisciples, How is it that he eatethanddrinkethwithpublicansandsinners?
17WhenJesusheard it, he saith unto them, They that arewholehavenoneed of the physician, but they that aresick: I camenottocall the righteous, butsinnerstorepentance.
18And the disciples of Johnand of the Phariseesused to fast: and they comeandsay unto him, Why do the disciples of Johnand of the Phariseesfast, butthydisciplesfastnot?
19AndJesussaid unto them, Can the children of the bridechamberfast, while the bridegroomiswiththem?as long as they have the bridegroomwiththem, they cannotfast.
20But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken awayfromthem, andthen shall they fastinthosedays.

No manalsoseweth a piece of newclothon an oldgarment: else the newpiece that filled it up taketh awayfrom the old, and the rent is madeworse.
22And no manputtethnewwineintooldbottles: else the newwine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: butnewwine must be putintonewbottles.
23And it came to pass, that hewentthrough the cornfieldson the sabbath day; andhisdisciplesbegan, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.
24And the Phariseessaid unto him, Behold, why do theyon the sabbath day that whichisnotlawful?
25Andhesaid unto them, Have ye neverreadwhatDaviddid, whenhehadneed, and was an hungred, he, and they that were withhim?
26How he wentinto the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, whichisnotlawful to eat but for the priests, andgavealso to them whichwerewithhim?
27And he said unto them, The sabbath was madeforman, andnotmanfor the sabbath:
28Therefore the Son of manisLordalso of the sabbath.
