1And they came overunto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
2And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there methim out of the tombs a manwith an uncleanspirit,
3Whohad his dwellingamong the tombs; and no mancouldbindhim, no, not with chains:
4Because that he had been oftenbound with fettersandchains, and the chains had been plucked asunderbyhim, and the fetters broken in pieces: neithercould any man tamehim.
5Andalways, nightandday, he wasin the mountains, andin the tombs, crying, andcuttinghimself with stones.
6But when he sawJesus afar off, he ranandworshippedhim,
7Andcried with a loudvoice, andsaid, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most highGod?Iadjurethee by God, that thou tormentmenot.
8For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou uncleanspirit.
9And he askedhim, What is thyname?And he answered, saying, Myname is Legion: for we aremany.
10And he besoughthimmuchthat he wouldnotsendthemaway out of the country.
11Nowtherewastherenigh unto the mountains a greatherd of swinefeeding.
12Andall the devilsbesoughthim, saying, Sendusinto the swine, that we may enterintothem.
13AndforthwithJesusgavethemleave. And the uncleanspirits went out, andenteredinto the swine: and the herdran violently down a steep placeinto the sea,(they wereabout two thousand;) andwerechokedin the sea.
14And they that fed the swinefled, andtold it in the city, andin the country. And they went out to seewhat it was that wasdone.
15And they cometoJesus, andsee him that was possessed with the devil, andhad the legion, sitting, andclothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
16And they that saw it toldthemhow it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.
17And they began to prayhim to depart out oftheircoasts.
18And when he was comeinto the ship, hethat had been possessed with the devilprayedhimthathe might bewithhim.
19HowbeitJesussufferedhimnot, butsaith unto him, Gohometo thy friends, andtellthem how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
20And he departed, andbegan to publishinDecapolis how great thingsJesus had done for him: andall men did marvel.
21And when Jesuswas passed overagainbyshipunto the other side, muchpeoplegathereduntohim: and he wasnighunto the sea.
22And, behold, there comethone of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he sawhim, he fellathisfeet,
23Andbesoughthimgreatly, saying, My little daughterlieth at the point of death: I pray thee, comeandlay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
24And Jesus wentwithhim; andmuchpeoplefollowedhim, andthrongedhim.
25And a certainwoman, which had anissue of bloodtwelveyears,
26Andhadsufferedmanythingsofmanyphysicians, andhadspentall that shehad, andwasnothingbettered, butrathergrewworse,

When she had heardofJesus, camein the pressbehind, and touchedhisgarment.
28For she said, If I may touchbuthisclothes, I shall be whole.
29Andstraightway the fountainofherblood was dried up; and she felt in herbodythat she was healedofthatplague.
30AndJesus, immediatelyknowinginhimself that virtue had gone out ofhim, turned himaboutin the press, andsaid, Whotouchedmyclothes?
31Andhisdisciplessaid unto him, Thouseest the multitudethrongingthee, and sayest thou, Whotouchedme?
32And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
33But the womanfearingandtrembling, knowingwhat was doneinher, cameand fell down beforehim, andtoldhimall the truth.
34And he said unto her, Daughter, thyfaith hath madetheewhole; goinpeace, andbewholeofthyplague.
35Whileheyetspake, there camefrom the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thydaughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?
36As soon asJesusheard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Benotafraid, onlybelieve.
37And he suffered no man to followhim, savePeter, andJames, andJohn the brother of James.
38And he comethto the house of the ruler of the synagogue, andseeth the tumult, and them that weptandwailedgreatly.
39And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, andweep? the damselisnotdead, butsleepeth.
40And they laughedhim to scorn. But when he had put them allout, he taketh the fatherand the mother of the damsel, and them that were withhim, and entereth inwhere the damselwaslying.
41And he took the damsel by the hand, andsaid unto her, Talithacumi; whichis, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.
42Andstraightway the damselarose, andwalked; for she was of the age of twelveyears. And they were astonished with a greatastonishment.
43And he chargedthemstraitlythat no man should knowit; andcommandedthat something should be givenher to eat.
