AtthattimeJesuswent on the sabbath daythrough the corn; andhisdisciples were an hungred, andbegan to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
But when the Phariseessaw it, they said unto him, Behold, thydisciplesdo that whichisnotlawful to doupon the sabbath day.
Buthesaid unto them, Have yenotreadwhatDaviddid, whenhe was an hungred, andthey that were with him;
How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, whichwasnotlawfulforhim to eat, neither for them which were with him, butonlyfor the priests?
Or have yenotreadin the law, how that on the sabbathdays the priestsin the templeprofane the sabbath, andareblameless?
But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
Butif ye had knownwhat this meaneth, I will havemercy, andnotsacrifice, ye wouldnothavecondemned the guiltless.
For the Son of manisLordeven of the sabbath day.
And when he was departedthence, he wentintotheirsynagogue:
And, behold, there was a man which had his handwithered. And they askedhim, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days?that they might accusehim.
Andhesaid unto them, Whatman shall there beamongyou, that shall haveonesheep, andifitfallinto a pit on the sabbath day, will henot lay hold on it, and lift itout?

How muchthen is a man better than a sheep?Wherefore it is lawful to dowell on the sabbath days.
Thensaith he to the man, Stretch forththinehand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restoredwhole, like as the other.
Then the Pharisees went out, and held a councilagainsthim, how they might destroyhim.
But when Jesusknew it, he withdrew himself from thence: andgreatmultitudesfollowedhim, and he healedthemall;
Andchargedthemthat they shouldnotmakehimknown:
That it might be fulfilledwhich was spokenbyEsaias the prophet, saying,
Beholdmyservant, whom I have chosen; mybeloved, inwhommysoul is well pleased: I will putmyspirituponhim, and he shall shewjudgment to the Gentiles.

He shallnotstrive, norcry; neithershall any manhearhisvoicein the streets.
Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, anddumb: and he healedhim, insomuch that the blindanddumbbothspakeandsaw.
Andall the people were amazed, andsaid, Isnotthis the son of David?
But when the Phariseesheard it, they said, This fellow dothnot cast outdevils, butbyBeelzebub the prince of the devils.
AndJesusknewtheirthoughts, andsaid unto them, Everykingdomdividedagainstitself is brought to desolation; andeverycityorhousedividedagainstitselfshallnotstand:
AndifSatan cast outSatan, he is dividedagainsthimself; howshallthenhiskingdomstand?
AndifIbyBeelzebub cast outdevils, bywhom do yourchildren cast them out?thereforethey shall beyourjudges.
ButifI cast outdevilsby the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is comeuntoyou.
Or else howcanoneenterinto a strong man's house, andspoilhisgoods, except he firstbind the strong man?andthen he will spoilhishouse.

He that isnotwithmeisagainstme; and he that gatherethnotwithme scattereth abroad.
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner ofsinandblasphemyshall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghostshallnot be forgiven unto men.
Andwhosoeverspeaketh a wordagainst the Son of man, it shall be forgivenhim: butwhosoeverspeakethagainst the HolyGhost, it shallnot be forgivenhim, neitherinthisworld, neitherin the world to come.
Eithermake the treegood, andhisfruitgood; or elsemake the treecorrupt, andhisfruitcorrupt: for the tree is knownbyhisfruit.

O generationofvipers, how can ye, beingevil, speak good things?for out of the abundanceof the heart the mouthspeaketh.

A goodman out of the goodtreasureof the heart bringeth forthgoodthings: and an evilman out of the eviltreasure bringeth forthevilthings.
But I say unto you, Thateveryidlewordthatmen shall speak, they shall giveaccountthereofin the day of judgment.
Forbythywords thou shalt be justified, andbythywords thou shalt be condemned.
Thencertain of the scribesand of the Phariseesanswered, saying, Master, we wouldsee a signfromthee.
But he answeredandsaid unto them, An evilandadulterousgeneration seeketh after a sign; and there shall nosign be given to it, but the sign of the prophetJonas:
ForasJonaswasthreedaysandthreenightsin the whale's belly; so shall the Son of manbethreedaysandthreenightsin the heart of the earth.

The men of Nineveh shall riseinjudgmentwiththisgeneration, and shall condemnit: because they repentedat the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater thanJonas is here.

The queen of the south shall rise upin the judgmentwiththisgeneration, and shall condemnit: for she camefrom the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater thanSolomon is here.
When the uncleanspirit is gone out of a man, he walkeththroughdryplaces, seekingrest, andfindethnone.
Then he saith, I will returnintomyhouse from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, andgarnished.
Then goeth he, andtakethwithhimselfsevenotherspirits more wickedthanhimself, and they enter inanddwellthere: and the last state of thatmanis worse than the first. Even so shall it bealso unto thiswickedgeneration.
Whileheyettalked to the people, behold, hismotherandhisbrethrenstoodwithout, desiring to speak with him.
Thenonesaid unto him, Behold, thymotherandthybrethrenstandwithout, desiring to speak with thee.
But he answeredandsaid unto him that toldhim, Whoismymother?andwhoaremybrethren?
And he stretched forthhishandtowardhisdisciples, andsaid, Beholdmymotherandmybrethren!
Forwhosoever shall do the will of myFatherwhichisinheaven, the sameismybrother, andsister, andmother.
