1AndaftersixdaysJesustakethPeter, James, andJohnhisbrother, andbringeththemupinto an highmountainapart,
2Andwastransfiguredbeforethem: andhisface did shineas the sun, andhisraimentwaswhiteas the light.
3And, behold, there appeared unto themMosesandEliastalkingwithhim.
4ThenansweredPeter, andsaid unto Jesus, Lord, it isgood for us to behere: if thou wilt, let usmakeherethreetabernacles; one for thee, andone for Moses, andone for Elias.

While heyetspake, behold, a brightcloudovershadowedthem: andbehold a voice out of the cloud, which said, ThisismybelovedSon, inwhom I am well pleased; hear yehim.
6And when the disciplesheard it, they fellontheirface, and were soreafraid.
8And when they had lifted uptheireyes, they saw no man, saveJesusonly.
9And as they came downfrom the mountain, Jesuschargedthem, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen againfrom the dead.
10Andhisdisciplesaskedhim, saying, Whythensay the scribesthatEliasmustfirstcome?
11AndJesusansweredandsaid unto them, Eliastruly shall firstcome, andrestore all things.
12But I sayuntoyou, ThatElias is comealready, and they knewhimnot, but have doneuntohimwhatsoever they listed. Likewiseshallalso the Sonofmansufferofthem.
13Then the disciplesunderstoodthat he spake unto themofJohn the Baptist.
14And when they were cometo the multitude, there cametohim a certain man, kneeling downtohim, andsaying,
15Lord, have mercy on myson: for he is lunatick, andsorevexed: forofttimes he fallethinto the fire, andoftinto the water.
16And I broughthim to thydisciples, and they couldnotcurehim.
17ThenJesusansweredandsaid, Ofaithlessandperversegeneration, how long shall I bewithyou? how long shall I sufferyou?bringhimhither to me.
18AndJesusrebuked the devil; andhedeparted out ofhim: and the child was curedfrom that veryhour.
19Thencame the disciples to Jesusapart, and said, Whycouldnotwecasthimout?
20AndJesussaid unto them, Because of yourunbelief: forverily I say unto you, If ye havefaithas a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto thismountain, Removehence to yonder place; and it shall remove; andnothing shall be impossible unto you.
22And while theyabodeinGalilee, Jesussaid unto them, The Son of man shall bebetrayedinto the hands of men:
23And they shall killhim, and the thirdday he shall be raised again. And they were exceedingsorry.
24And when they were cometoCapernaum, they that receivedtribute money cametoPeter, andsaid, Dothnotyourmasterpaytribute?

He saith, Yes. Andwhen he was comeinto the house, Jesuspreventedhim, saying, Whatthinkestthou, Simon?ofwhomdo the kingsof the earthtakecustomortribute?of their ownchildren, orofstrangers?
26Petersaith unto him, Ofstrangers. Jesussaith unto him, Thenare the childrenfree.
27Notwithstanding, lest we should offendthem, go thouto the sea, andcast an hook, andtakeup the fishthatfirst cometh up; and when thou hast openedhismouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: thattake, andgive unto themformeandthee.
