1And it came to pass, that whenJesus had finishedthesesayings, he departedfromGalilee, andcameinto the coasts of JudaeabeyondJordan;
2Andgreatmultitudesfollowedhim; and he healedthemthere.

The Phariseesalsocame unto him, temptinghim, andsaying unto him, Is it lawfulfor a man to put awayhiswifeforeverycause?
4And he answeredandsaid unto them, Have yenotread, that he whichmadethemat the beginningmadethemmaleandfemale,
5Andsaid, For thiscause shall a manleavefatherandmother, and shall cleave to hiswife: and they twain shall beoneflesh?
6Wherefore they are no moretwain, butoneflesh. WhatthereforeGod hath joined together, letnotman put asunder.

They say unto him, Why did Mosesthencommand to give a writing of divorcement, and to putheraway?

He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardnessofyourheartssufferedyou to put awayyourwives: butfrom the beginning it wasnotso.
9And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put awayhiswife, except it be forfornication, and shall marryanother, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
10Hisdisciplessay unto him, If the case of the manbesowithhiswife, it isnotgood to marry.
11But he said unto them, All men cannotreceivethissaying, save they to whom it is given.
12For there are some eunuchs, which were sobornfrom their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were madeeunuchsofmen: and there beeunuchs, which have madethemselveseunuchsfor the kingdomof heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
13Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his handsonthem, andpray: and the disciplesrebukedthem.
14ButJesussaid, Suffer little children, andforbidthemnot, to comeuntome: for of suchis the kingdom of heaven.
15And he laid his handsonthem, anddepartedthence.
16And, behold, onecame and said unto him, GoodMaster, whatgoodthing shall I do, that I may haveeternallife?
17And he said unto him, Why callest thoumegood? there is nonegoodbutone, that is, God: butifthouwiltenterintolife, keep the commandments.

The young mansaith unto him, All these things have I keptfrommy youth up: whatlack I yet?
21Jesussaid unto him, Ifthouwiltbeperfect, goandsell that thouhast, andgive to the poor, andthou shalt havetreasureinheaven: andcomeandfollowme.
22But when the young manheard that saying, he went awaysorrowful: for he hadgreatpossessions.
23ThensaidJesus unto hisdisciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardlyenterinto the kingdom of heaven.
24Andagain I say unto you, It iseasier for a camel to gothrough the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enterinto the kingdom of God.
25Whenhisdisciplesheard it, they were exceedinglyamazed, saying, Whothencan be saved?
26ButJesusbeheldthem, and said unto them, Withmenthisisimpossible; butwithGod all thingsarepossible.
27ThenansweredPeterandsaid unto him, Behold, wehaveforsakenall, andfollowedthee; what shall wehavetherefore?
28AndJesussaid unto them, Verily I say unto you, Thatyewhich have followedme, in the regenerationwhen the Son of man shall sitin the throne of hisglory, yealso shall situpontwelvethrones, judging the twelvetribes of Israel.
29Andeveryone that hath forsakenhouses, orbrethren, orsisters, orfather, ormother, orwife, orchildren, orlands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inheriteverlastinglife.
30Butmany that are first shall belast; and the last shall befirst.
