Let everysoulbesubject unto the higherpowers. For there isnopowerbutofGod: the powers that beareordainedofGod.

Whosoever thereforeresisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselvesdamnation.
3Forrulersarenot a terror to goodworks, but to the evil. Wilt thouthennot be afraidof the power?do that which is good, andthou shalt havepraiseof the same:
4For he is the minister of God to theeforgood. Butif thou do that which isevil, be afraid; for he bearethnot the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrathupon him that doethevil.
5Wherefore ye must needs be subject, notonlyforwrath, butalsoforconsciencesake.
6Forforthiscause pay yetributealso: for they are God's ministers, attending continuallyuponthis very thing.
7Rendertherefore to all their dues: tribute to whomtribute is due; custom to whomcustom; fear to whomfear; honour to whomhonour.
8Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that lovethanother hath fulfilled the law.
9Forthis, Thou shaltnot commit adultery, Thou shaltnotkill, Thou shaltnotsteal, Thou shaltnot bear false witness, Thou shaltnotcovet; and if there be anyothercommandment, it is briefly comprehendedinthissaying, namely, Thou shaltlovethyneighbourasthyself.
10Loveworkethnoill to his neighbour: thereforelove is the fulfilling of the law.
11Andthat, knowing the time, thatnow it is high time to awake out ofsleep: fornow is oursalvationnearerthanwhen we believed.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let ustherefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

Let us walkhonestly, asin the day; notinriotinganddrunkenness, notinchamberingandwantonness, notinstrifeandenvying.
14But put ye on the LordJesusChrist, andmakenotprovisionfor the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
