1Andwhen they drew nighuntoJerusalem, and were cometoBethphage, unto the mount of Olives, thensentJesustwodisciples,
2Saying unto them, Gointo the village over againstyou, andstraightway ye shall find an asstied, and a coltwithher: loosethem, andbringthem unto me.
3Andif any mansayought unto you, ye shall say, The Lordhathneed of them; andstraightway he will sendthem.
4Allthis was done, that it might be fulfilledwhich was spokenby the prophet, saying,

Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thyKingcometh unto thee, meek, andsittingupon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
6And the discipleswent, anddidasJesuscommandedthem,
7Andbrought the ass, and the colt, andputonthemtheirclothes, and they set him thereon.
8And a very greatmultitudespreadtheirgarmentsin the way; others cut downbranchesfrom the trees, andstrawed them in the way.
9And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that comethin the name of the Lord; Hosannain the highest.
10And when he was comeintoJerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Whoisthis?
11And the multitudesaid, ThisisJesus the prophetofNazarethofGalilee.
12AndJesuswentinto the temple of God, and cast out all them that soldandboughtin the temple, andoverthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that solddoves,
13Andsaid unto them, It is written, Myhouse shall be called the house of prayer; butye have madeit a den of thieves.
14And the blindand the lamecame to himin the temple; and he healedthem.
15And when the chief priestsandscribessaw the wonderful thingsthat he did, and the childrencryingin the temple, andsaying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased,
16Andsaid unto him, Hearest thouwhatthesesay?AndJesussaith unto them, Yea; have ye neverread, Out of the mouthofbabesandsucklingsthou hast perfectedpraise?
17And he leftthem, andwent out of the cityintoBethany; and he lodgedthere.
18Now in the morning as he returnedinto the city, he hungered.
19And when he sawa fig treein the way, he cametoit, andfoundnothingthereon, butleavesonly, andsaid unto it, Let nofruitgrowontheehenceforwardforever. Andpresently the fig tree withered away.
20And when the disciplessaw it, they marvelled, saying, Howsoon is the fig tree withered away!
21Jesusansweredandsaid unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye havefaith, anddoubtnot, ye shallnotonlydothis which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shallsay unto thismountain, Be thou removed, and be thou castinto the sea; it shall be done.
22And all things, whatsoever ye shall askinprayer, believing, ye shall receive.
23And when he was comeinto the temple, the chief priestsand the elders of the peoplecame unto him as he was teaching, andsaid, Bywhatauthority doest thou these things?andwhogavetheethisauthority?
24AndJesusansweredandsaid unto them, I also will askyouonething, whichif ye tellme, I in like wise will tellyoubywhatauthority I do these things.

The baptismofJohn, whence was it?fromheaven, orofmen?And they reasonedwiththemselves, saying, If we shall say, Fromheaven; he will say unto us, Why did yenotthenbelievehim?
26Butif we shall say, Ofmen; we fear the people; forallholdJohnas a prophet.
27And they answeredJesus, andsaid, We cannottell. Andhesaid unto them, NeithertellIyoubywhatauthorityIdo these things.
28Butwhatthinkye? A certain manhadtwosons; and he came to the first, andsaid, Son, gowork to dayinmyvineyard.

He answered and said, I willnot: butafterward he repented, and went.
30And he came to the second, andsaidlikewise. And he answeredandsaid, I go, sir: andwentnot.
31Whetherofthemtwaindid the willof his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesussaith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicansand the harlotsgointo the kingdomofGodbeforeyou.
32ForJohncameuntoyouin the way of righteousness, andyebelievedhimnot: but the publicansand the harlotsbelievedhim: andye, when ye had seen it, repentednotafterward, that ye might believehim.
33Hearanotherparable: There was a certainhouseholder, whichplanted a vineyard, andhedgedit round about, anddigged a winepressinit, andbuilt a tower, andletitout to husbandmen, and went into a far country:
34Andwhen the time of the fruit drew near, he senthisservantsto the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.
35And the husbandmentookhisservants, andbeatone, andkilledanother, andstonedanother.
36Again, he sentotherservantsmore than the first: and they did unto themlikewise.
37But last of all he sentuntothemhisson, saying, They will reverencemyson.
38But when the husbandmensaw the son, they saidamongthemselves, Thisis the heir; come, let us killhim, and let us seize on hisinheritance.
39And they caughthim, andcasthim out of the vineyard, andslewhim.
40When the lordtherefore of the vineyardcometh, what will he do unto thosehusbandmen?

They say unto him, He will miserablydestroythose wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto otherhusbandmen, which shall renderhim the fruitsintheirseasons.
42Jesussaith unto them, Did yeneverreadin the scriptures, The stonewhich the buildersrejected, the sameisbecome the head of the corner: thisis the Lord's doing, and it ismarvellousinoureyes?
43Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be takenfromyou, andgiven to a nation bringing forth the fruitsthereof.
44And whosoever shall fallonthisstone shall be broken: butonwhomsoever it shall fall, it will grindhim to powder.
45And when the chief priestsandPharisees had heardhisparables, they perceivedthat he spakeofthem.
46But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they tookhimfor a prophet.
